Abstract

ABSTRACT A water quality monitoring system (100), the system (100) comprising: a plurality of sensors (102) configured to detect one or more parameters associated with water within a reservoir; a camera (104) configured to capture one or more images of the reservoir; a processor (106) communicatively coupled with the plurality of sensors (102), wherein the processor (106) is configured to: receive one or more parameters, compare the one or more parameters with a threshold value, and transmit an alert notification regarding anomalies in water quality to a computing unit (108) managed by a user.

Specification

Description:FIELD OF THE DISCLOSURE
[0001] This invention generally relates to a field of environmental monitoring systems and, in particular, to a water quality monitoring system designed to enhance the assessment and management of water quality in reservoirs.
BACKGROUND

[0002] The subject matter discussed in the background section should not be assumed to be prior art merely as a result of its mention in the background section. Similarly, a problem mentioned in the background section or associated with the subject matter of the background section should not be assumed to have been previously recognized in the prior art. The subject matter in the background section merely represents different approaches, which in and of themselves may also correspond to implementations of the claimed technology.
[0003] Conventional methods for monitoring water quality often rely on periodic sampling and laboratory analysis. These traditional approaches, while effective in providing data on various water quality parameters, can be la , Claims:1. A water quality monitoring system (100), the system (100) comprising:
a plurality of sensors (102) configured to detect one or more parameters associated with water filled within a reservoir;
a camera (104) configured to capture one or more images of the reservoir;
a processor (106) communicatively coupled with the plurality of sensors (102), wherein the processor (104) is configured to:
receive one or more parameters,
compare the one or more parameters with a threshold value,
transmit an alert notification regarding anomalies in quality of water to a computing unit (108) managed by a user.

2. The system (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the one or more parameters includes but not limited to level of water, pH value, turbidity, and temperature.

3. The system (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the processor (106) is configured to actuate a water pump attached with an external reservoir to fill water into the reservoir, in case the level of water recedes the threshold value.
