Specification

Description:FIELD OF THE DISCLOSURE
[0001] This invention generally relates to a field of railway safety systems and, in particular, to a virtual barrier designed to enhance safety at railway platforms by detecting and preventing potential hazards in real-time.
BACKGROUND

[0002] The subject matter discussed in the background section should not be assumed to be prior art merely as a result of its mention in the background section. Similarly, a problem mentioned in the background section or associated with the subject matter of the background section should not be assumed to have been previously recognized in the prior art. The subject matter in the background section merely represents different approaches, which in and of themselves may also correspond to implementations of the claimed technology.
[0003] Conventional railway safety systems have long been integral to improving passenger safety at railway platforms, encompassing a variety of tools and techniques, including physical barriers, warning signs, and surveilla , Claims:1. A virtual barrier system (100) for enhancing safety at railway platforms, comprising:
a plurality of sensors configured to detect passenger behavior and environmental conditions on the platform;
a communication module coupled with said plurality of sensors, the communication module being configured to upload data from said sensors to a cloud database;
a processor communicatively coupled with the communication module, configured to:
receive data from the cloud database;
analyze said data to identify anomalies associated with platform safety;
generate alert notifications based on the analyzed data;
an alarming device configured to relay the alert notifications to relevant personnel and the public.

2. The virtual barrier system (100) of claim 1, wherein the plurality of sensors includes motion sensors, infrared sensors, and cameras.

3. The virtual barrier system (100) of claim 1, wherein the processor utilizes machine learning algorithms to improve predictive capabilities based on historical safety data.
