Abstract

The present invention discloses a variable height real-time cutting and plucking force measurement device designed for fruits and vegetables. The device addresses the need for accurate, real-time measurement of the forces required for harvesting, essential for optimizing autonomous harvesting systems. It features two digital weighing gauges, one for measuring plucking force (I) and the other for cutting force (2), ensuring precise data collection. This device is capable of adjusting to various heights through variable height platform (I I) and easy movement in field through wheeled base ( 12). The stepper motor of plucking unit and linear actuator is powered through a power source of minimum 12 Volt direct current. unit. The real-time data provided by this device also aids in evaluating the mechanical properties of thrits and vegetables. Additionally, the device includes a data logging system for recording and storage of data (I 0) for recording measured forces, facilitating further analysis and optimization. The invention enhances harvesting efficiency, reduces produce damage, and supports ongoing research in agricultural autorilation. offering a cost-effective and reliable solution for real-time force measurement in the field.
