TRACRRNA UNIT AND GENOME EDITING METHOD

Abstract

The present invention addresses the problem of providing: a novel tracrRNA unit; and a genome editing method using the tracrRNA unit. This problem can be solved by a tracrRNA unit for use in a CRISPR-Cas9 genome editing system, the tracrRNA unit comprising first single-stranded RNA and second single-stranded RNA, in which the first single-stranded RNA and the second single-stranded RNA are not contiguous to each other, the first single-stranded RNA has at least a first segment and a second segment, the first segment and the second segment are not overlapped with each other, the first segment has a sequence complementary with a portion of crRNA, and the second segment has a sequence complementary with the second single-stranded RNA.
