Specification
Description:FIELD OF THE DISCLOSURE
[0001] This invention generally relates to a field of telecommunications and, in particular, to a system and method for recognizing emotion from speech using machine learning algorithms.
BACKGROUND
[0002] The subject matter discussed in the background section should not be assumed to be prior art merely as a result of its mention in the background section. Similarly, a problem mentioned in the background section or associated with the subject matter of the background section should not be assumed to have been previously recognized in the prior art. The subject matter in the background section merely represents different approaches, which in and of themselves may also correspond to implementations of the claimed technology.
[0003] Traditional methods for emotion recognition from speech often rely on predefined rules and acoustic features, such as pitch, tone, and rhythm. While these methods can provide some level of emotion detection, they are limited by their inability to adapt to , Claims:1. A system (100) for recognizing emotion from speech, comprising:
a plurality of sensors configured to capture speech data;
a communication module coupled with the plurality of sensors, configured to upload the captured speech data to a centralized analysis system;
a processor communicatively coupled with the communication module, configured to:
receive the speech data from the centralized analysis system;
analyze the speech data using machine learning algorithms;
determine the emotion of the speaker; and
generate feedback for users when specific emotions are detected.
2. The system (100) of claim 1, wherein the plurality of sensors include acoustic feature analyzers and linguistic feature extractors.
3. The system (100) of claim 1, wherein the speech data includes pitch, tone, rhythm, and speech patterns.
4. The system (100) of claim 1, further comprising a user interface configured to present feedback to users, including graphical representations of speech data and emotional trends over time.
