[0001] This invention generally relates to a field of telecommunications and, in particular, to a system and method for detecting spam in SMS messages using machine learning algorithms.
BACKGROUND

[0003] SMS (Short Message Service) has become a ubiquitous communication method, widely used for both personal and business purposes. However, the widespread use of SMS has also led to an increase in spam messages, which are unsolicited messages typically sent in , Claims:1. A system (100) for detecting spam in SMS messages, comprising:
a plurality of sensors configured to capture message data;
a communication module coupled with the plurality of sensors, configured to upload the captured message data to a centralized analysis system;
a processor communicatively coupled with the communication module, configured to:
receive the message data from the centralized analysis system;
analyze the message data using machine learning algorithms;
determine whether the messages are spam; and
generate alert notifications for users when spam is detected.

2. The system (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the plurality of sensors includes message content analyzers and metadata extractors.

3. The system (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the message data includes keywords, sender information, and message patterns.
