Specification

Description:FIELD OF THE DISCLOSURE
[0001] This invention generally relates to a field of assistive technologies for visually impaired individuals and, in particular, to a real-time object detection and audio feedback system that enhances the navigation experience for visually impaired individuals.
BACKGROUND

[0002] The subject matter discussed in the background section should not be assumed to be prior art merely as a result of its mention in the background section. Similarly, a problem mentioned in the background section or associated with the subject matter of the background section should not be assumed to have been previously recognized in the prior art. The subject matter in the background section merely represents different approaches, which in and of themselves may also correspond to implementations of the claimed technology.
[0003] Navigating in the physical environment can present significant challenges for visually impaired individuals, impacting their independence and safety. Existing assistive devices, s , Claims:1. A system (100) for assisting visually impaired individuals, comprising:
a real-time object detection module configured to detect obstacles and objects in the environment of the user;
an audio feedback module coupled to the object detection module, the audio feedback module configured to generate real-time audio feedback based on the detected objects;
a processing unit in communication with the object detection module and the audio feedback module, wherein the processing unit analyzes input data from the object detection module and directs the audio feedback module to provide corresponding audio feedback to the user;
wherein the system provides continuous real-time object detection and audio feedback in a wearable device designed to be worn by the user, thereby enabling the user to navigate their environment more safely and independently.

2. The system (100) for assisting visually impaired individuals as claimed in claim 1, wherein the object detection module comprises one or more sensors selected from th
