[0023] Embodiments explained herein relate to exercise devices. More particularly, the present disclosure relates to a stretching device designed to provide relief from various musculoskeletal conditions such as plantar fasciitis, tight hamstrings, lower back pain, Achilles tendonitis, and calf tightness.
[0024] In an embodiment, a stretching device is disclosed that includes an elongated strap, a foot strap attached to an end of the strap configured to retain the foot of a user, a plurality of loops positioned at intervals along length of the strap, a handle detachably coupled to the strap configured to allow the user to grip and apply pulling force and one or more hooks attached to the strap configured to attach the handle to at least one of the plurality of loops on the strap.
[0025] In an embodiment, the handle further includes a locking carabiner to attach and detach the handle to the strap, one or more bands attached to a ring, where the locking carabiner is attached to the ring, and a gripper with a padding.
[0026] In an embodiment, the locking carabiner and the ring are constructed from stainless steel.
[0027] In an embodiment, the strap and the one or more bands are fabricated from nylon.
[0028] In an embodiment, the foot strap includes a fastener that allows to fit the foot strap around the foot of the user.
[0029] Referring to FIGs. 1A and 1B, a stretching device (100) (interchangeably referred to as a device (100), hereinafter) is disclosed. The device (100) can be used to provide pain relief from various musculoskeletal conditions such as plantar fasciitis, tight hamstring, lower back, Achillies tendonitis and calf tightness. The device (100) includes an elongated strap (102). The strap (102) is the primary component of the device (100), providing the length and structure for stretching.
[0030] In an embodiment, the stretching device (100) includes a foot strap (104) attached to an end of the strap (102) configured to retain foot of a user. The foot strap (104), allows the user to secure their foot and maintain a stable stretching position. The foot strap (104) is worn over the user's foot, providing additional stability and resistance during certain stretching movements. The foot strap (104) can be used for targeted stretching of the lower limb muscles.
[0031] In addition, the foot strap (104) includes a fastener configured to fit the foot strap (104) around foot of the user. The fastener is attached to one end of the strap (102), allowing the user to secure their foot and maintain a stable stretching position.
[0032] In an embodiment, the strap (102) includes a plurality of loops (106-1, 106-2, 106-3,106-4) (interchangeably referred to as loops (106), hereinafter) positioned at predetermined intervals along length of the strap (102). Although four loops are illustrated, the device is not limited to this number; additional loops can be incorporated. The loops (106) on the strap are spaced at predetermined intervals, allowing users to adjust the length and tension of the device (100), enabling them to customize the intensity and focus of their stretches. The loops (106) allow the users to adjust the position to create different levels of resistance and tension. This enables users to gradually increase their flexibility and range of motion.
[0033] In an embodiment, the device (100) includes a handle (108) detachably coupled to the strap (102), configured to allow the user to grip and apply pulling force. The handle (108) can be adjusted to various positions along the strap to customize the stretching intensity. The user can grasp the handle (108) and pull on it to perform various stretching exercises. The handle (108) can be removed from the strap (102) for easier storage.
[0034] Further, the handle (108) includes a locking carabiner (112) to attach and detach the handle (108) to the strap (102). The locking carabiner (112) allows the handle to be quickly and securely attached or detached from the strap (102). The locking carabiner (112) can be a stainless-steel fastener with a spring-loaded gate that can be opened and closed to secure objects. The locking carabiner (112) has a dimension of 8 millimeters.
[0035] Further, the handle (108) includes one or more bands (116) attached to a ring (114), wherein the locking carabiner (112) is detachably coupled to the ring (114). The one or more bands (116) facilitate stabilizing the handle (108) during exercise, ensuring controlled movement and enhancing the user's ability to manage force during exercise.
[0036] Further, the handle (108) includes a gripper (118) equipped with a padding. The padding can be a soft foam pad or the like that can be attached or detached from the strap (102) using the locking carabiner (112). The gripper (118) provides a comfortable grip, making it easier to maintain the stretch and avoid discomfort during stretching exercises. The gripper (118) has a length of 17.8 centimeters and a width of 12.7 centimeters having a weight of 268 grams.
[0037] Further, the locking carabiner (112) and the ring (114) are constructed from stainless steel. Stainless steel ensures durability of the locking carabiner (112) and the ring (114).
[0038] In an embodiment, the device (100) includes one or more hooks (110) attached to the strap (102), configured to attach the handle (108) to at least one of the loops (106) on the strap (102). The hooks (110) provide secure fastening, allowing the user to easily adjust the position of the handle (108) along the strap (102) by engaging different loops (106). This enables customizable tension or resistance levels during use, depending on which loop (106) the hooks (110) are attached to. This enhances the versatility of the device, making it suitable for a wide range of exercises and user preferences.
[0039] Further, the strap (102) and the e bands (116) are fabricated from nylon. Nylon is flexible as well as a sturdy material that can enhance the function and durability of the strap.
[0040] Thus, the present disclosure introduces the stretching device configured to effectively target multiple muscle groups. By incorporating the handle with the strap, the device enables users to customize intensity and range of the stretch.
[0041] While the foregoing describes various embodiments of the invention, other and further embodiments of the invention may be devised without departing from the basic scope thereof. The scope of the invention is determined by the claims that follow. The invention is not limited to the described embodiments, versions or examples, which are included to enable a person having ordinary skill in the art to make and use the invention when combined with information and knowledge available to the person having ordinary skill in the art.
