SPRAY-APPLIED FIREPROOF COVERING COMPOSITION RECYCLED FROM ACIDIC/NEUTRAL WASTE REFRACTORIES

Abstract

The present invention relates to a spray-applied fireproof covering composition recycled from acidic/neutral waste refractories, the composition comprising: 10-80 wt% of an acidic/neutral waste refractory fine aggregate; 5-55 wt% of a coupling agent; 5-35 wt% of a heat-absorbing material; 0.3-1.7 wt% of an organic fiber; 0.5-3.5 wt% of a set accelerator; 0.1-0.7 wt% of a thickening agent; 0.1-0.9 wt% of a plasticizer; and 0.05-0.15 wt% of an air-entraining (AE) agent. The present invention can contribute to resource conservation and protection of the global environment by reducing abandoned waste refractories by recycling and forming, as a main component of a spray-applied fireproof covering, acidic/neutral waste refractory bricks which are mostly buried for disposal in public waters after being used as furnace refractory bricks in a steel factory. Also, in the event of a fire in a construction and civil engineering site, the present invention can not only prevent the collapse of a structure according to prevention of spalling in concrete, but also prevent the risk of collapse in case of a fire caused by the high temperature of a steel structure. The present invention has excellent insulation at a high temperature and can exhibit a repair and reinforcement effect when applied to a damaged site of an existing concrete structure.
