a) IoT-enabled sensors deployed across roads and intersections;
b) A cloud-based platform for data aggregation and storage;
c) A machine learning engine for real-time analysis and prediction of traffic patterns;
d) A signal controller module that adjusts traffic light durations based on predictions.
The system of claim 1, wherein the machine learning engine predicts traffic congestion and adjusts signal timings accordingly to reduce waiting times.
The system of claim 2, further comprising an emergency vehicle detection module that grants priority access by switching traffic signals to green along the vehicle's path.
A road safety system comprising:
IoT sensors for monitoring driving behavior and environmental conditions;
A machine learning-based accident prediction module that alerts drivers and signal controllers about potential hazards.
The system of claim 3, wherein the accident prediction module uses historical data to identify high-risk intersections and suggests preventive measures.
