Abstract

Smart Shoes with Integrated Navigation System for the Visually Impaired Using Artificial Intelligence provide information about the constraints in the way and measurement of the approaching objects. It works as a companion for visually challenged people to improve their navigation process. It uses virtual recognition to recognize the object in real time. By using machine learning, we designed the shoe to adapt to the user's footsteps and to learn the person's preferences. This gives a personalized feel to the user, which is unique and special in smart shoes.

Specification

Description:[0010] The proposed method designs a Smart Shoe for the visually impaired. The hardware
model consists of sensors with camera, microcontroller, communication module, battery and a
feedback system. This is integrated with an Artificial Intelligence to improve the accuracy of
the design. Smart Shoe for the Visually Impaired has sensors to detect obstacles and changes
in foot pressure in case of uneven terrain. This helps the person to know there is an obstacle, [0011] Smart Shoe for the Visually Impaired uses a visual recognition algorithm to detect
obstacles such as potholes and humps. Recognition algorithm is used for object and gesture
recognition. It Consists of an earpiece connected via Bluetooth which acts as a communication
module between the user and the system. It is used to convey feedback such as direction to the
user. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS:
[0012] FIG.1 represents the block diagram of the invention. Detailed Description of the Invention
[0013] The proposed method designs a Smart Shoe for the visually impaired. The hardware
model consists of sensors, microcontroller, communication module, and a feedback system. This is integrated with Artificial Intelligence to improve the accuracy of the design. [0014] Smart Shoe for the Visually Impaired has sensors to detect obstacles and changes in
foot pressure in case of uneven terrain. The data is sent as a feedback to the processor unit for
further analysis. [0015] Smart Shoe for the Visually Impaired has Microprocessor to processes and executes the
machine learning algorithm. [0016] The proposed method designs a Smart Shoe which uses Machine Learning algorithm to
improve efficiency by learning from the patterns involved in user's movement and other
behaviors. [0017] Smart Shoe for the Visually Impaired uses a visual recognition algorithm to detect
obstacles such as potholes and humps. Recognition algorithm is used for object and gesture
recognition. [0018] The Smart shoe comes with an earpiece connected via Bluetooth which acts as a
communication module between the user and the system. It is used to convey feedback such as
direction to the user. [0019] Smart Shoe, incorporates a GPS module for outdoor navigation , C , Claims:1. Smart Shoes with Integrated Navigation System for the Visually Impaired Using Artificial
