FIELD OF THE DISCLOSURE
[0001] This invention generally relates to elevator control systems and, in particular, to a smart elevator system that improves efficiency and resource optimization through advanced sensor technologies, intelligent algorithms, and connectivity features.
BACKGROUND

[0003] Conventional elevator systems, although essential for vertical transportation in modern buildings, often suffer from inefficiencies that affect both operational perf , Claims:1. A smart elevator system (100) comprising:
at least one infrared sensor (102) for detecting passengers waiting at each floor;
a weight sensor (104) installed within the elevator cabin to monitor its occupancy level; and
a control unit (106) configured to dynamically adjust the elevator's route based on data from the infrared sensor and weight sensor, optimizing passenger wait times and energy consumption.
2. The smart elevator system (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the infrared sensor operates in active and passive modes to enhance detection reliability under various lighting and environmental conditions.
3. The smart elevator system (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the control unit utilizes machine learning algorithms to predict peak usage times and adjust elevator schedules proactively.
4. The smart elevator system (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein dynamic routing includes bypassing non-demand floors and prioritizing floors based on real-time passenger input and cabin space
