Abstract
The invention relates to a wearable sensory band designed for individuals with visual impairments. The band utilizes a combination of sensors and haptic feedback technology to detect obstacles and relay spatial information through vibrations or audio cues. This allows the user to navigate their surroundings more effectively without the need for traditional tools such as canes. The device is designed to be worn around the wrist or arm and includes multiple sensors positioned to cover a wide detection range.

Specification
Description:The invention includes the consist of Sensors, a set of ultrasonic, infrared, or LiDAR sensors
positioned around the band to provide 360-degree coverage. The sensors detect obstacles
within a range of 0.5 meters to 5 meters. It also has Feedback Mechanism which is Haptic
feedback is delivered via a series of vibration motors placed at intervals along the band. When
an object is detected, the vibration intensity surges as the object approaches, allowing the user
to sense distance and direction. The Power Supply module is band is powered by a rechargeable
lithium-ion battery, providing a usage time of up to 8 hours. It also includes an energy-saving
mode where sensors activate only when movement is detected. Adjustability of the band is
designed to fit various wrist or arm sizes and may come with adjustable straps. , Claims:1. A wearable sensory band (100) for the visually impaired, comprising a series of sensors
positioned to detect obstacles within a 360-degree range, a feedback mechanism
delivering haptic responses corresponding to the proximity of detected objects and a
power source, including a rechargeable battery that powers the sensors and feedback
mechanisms;
2. A wearable sensory band (100), comprising a sensor module with ultrasonic, infrared,
or LiDAR sensors for detecting obstacles in the user's environment;
3. A wearable sensory band (100), further comprising an audio feedback module that
provides additional navigational cues to the user based on the data received from the
sensor module.
4. A wearable sensory band (100), wherein the feedback strength is adjustable based on
user preferences; and
5. A wearable sensory band (100), a method for assisting visually impaired individuals in
navigation, involving detecting obstacles through sensors embedded in a wearable
band, relaying information about the detected obstacles via haptic feedback and
adjusting feedback intensity based on object proximity.
