Abstract

ABSTRACT Our Indian fishermen used to capture the fishes from the oceans and selling those fishes all over the India and some of the medical items which are gets from the fishes also export to other country. They have contributed I. 70% of the total GOP of India. They also play a major role in exports. In this invention we concern about the Marine Fishermen. This will help them to do their work in safest way. Our Tamil Nadu fishermen face some common issues over past year was border crossing. They got arrested my nearby Country in an act of Border Security Force. This is happened because of, lack of GPS guidance in the boat. They sometimes crossing the border unknowingly and got suffer, this will lead to state issue. We don't have the proof from our side for crossing the border. In this invention we design a circuit which will send the exact coordinate of the ships in the coastal line. If our getting caught by the other country, they can send their co-ordinates where they get caught in the sea. In the existing system including mobile communication, the sailor position cannot be identified properly. The propose system is very simple and easy to use. If the sailor sends a SOS message by the use of module it will send the co-ordinate to the control room which will monitor the coastal area. So, if our fishermen get caught within our border, we will release them and acquire the reason for their action. This will prevent the burden for our nation and also for the state.

Specification

SAILOR GUIDER
(i) FIELD OF INVENTION: Marine Field
(ii) OBJECTIVES OF INVENTION: Commercial fleet operators are by far the largest
users of vehicle tracking systems. These systems are used for operational functions such as
routing, security, dispatch and collecting of information. Likewise, the same concept is apply
for this invention which is helpful for the sailors who where get suffer when the struggle in
the mid of the sea.
(iii) BACKGROUND OF INVENTION: The concept of this invention "Sailor Guider"
has been existence for several years. "Vehicle Tracker" is terms that followed and it's been
used to introduce the concept of security application for the users as well as for the product.
This will help to find the current location of the product which is located in the earth surface.
(iv) DESCRIPTION:
India ranks as·the third-largest fish producer globally and is second only to China in
aquaculture production. The Blue Revolution has underscored the crucial role of the Fisheries
and Aquaculture sectors in India. Recognized as an emerging sector, it is expected to
significantly influence the Indian economy in the coming years. Recently, there has been a
notable shift in Indian fisheries, moving from a focus on marine to inland fisheries, with inland
fisheries now contributing approximately 70% of the total fish production, up from 36% in the
mid-1980s. This transition from capture-based to culture-based inland fisheries has been a key
driver in supporting a sustainable blue economy.
Despite the growth of inland fisheries and aquaculture, the sector has yet to fully tap into
its vast potential. India possesses extensive and diverse resources, including 191,024 kilometers
of rivers and canals, millions of hectares of floodplain lakes, ponds, tanks, reservoirs, and
brackish water bodies. These underutilized resources present significant opportunities for
increasing production, improving livelihoods, and fostering economic growth.
The main aim of this invention is to established a communication with the fisherman
over the sea and help them if they got any emergency situation occurs. And approach them
for assistance. This will be very helpful for the fishermen and it will save their life and
belongings. This invention is very simple and easy to implement in any boat.
The benefits of an established GPS based tracking system for boat application include:
• SECURITY:
This will give security for the fishermen, if they got stuck in mid of the sea.
• REDUCE LEGAL ISSUE:
By sending the exact co-ordinates, even if they got arrested by neighboring country
our government has a proof that our fishermen were crossed the national border or not. If they
didn't cross, they can retrieve the persons whoever got arrest.
• QUICK MEDICAL ASSISTANCE:
If any of the fishermen got any medical emergency they can send a SOS message to
the control room, so they can get medical assistance at a correct time. This will save their life
in emergency situations.

• EASY TRACKING:
It is very easy for the government to track the boat for checks the activity. They can
easily find the current status of the boat and came to know the correct purpose for deploy. If
any this happens to the boat, they can able to track the reason the issue. This will help to
reduce that kind of flaws.
• REDUCE CRIME:
By implementing this prototype, the ship will integrate with tracking device. So, they
can be monitored by all day. If any malpractice may be done by the fisherrnan they can get
caught. This will reduce the crime work which was made over the sea.
• INTEGRAL AND EXTENSIVE NATURE:
The prototype designed can be integrated to a large scale. Also, it has an extensive
nature being able to remove the application under control according to application.
WORKING OF INVENTION:
This invention involves a system that integrates a GPS receiver and a GSM modem with a
microcontroller, all of which are installed on a vehicle. At the control center, a GSM mobile
phone is connected to a computer running a VB application. The GPS system on the vehicle
transmits the vehicle's longitude and altitude coordinates to the GSM modem.
The system sends an SMS via the GSM service provider to the vehicle, which is equipped with
a GSM device containing a SIM card. The GSM modem on the vehicle receives the SMS and
forwards it to the microcontroller. The microcontroller processes the SMS, compares the
command with its programmed instructions, and if the command matches, it executes the
requested task from the control center.
Meanwhile, at the control center, the GSM receiver collects the data and transmits it to the
computer through a serial port. The VB program on the computer then verifies this data against
its database and displays the boat's details on the screen.
If the information is accurate, the control center can provide assistance effectively and
efficiently. This system simplifies the process for the control room, enabling seamless
communication with fishermen even when they are at sea.

This invention is proposed to design an embedded system which is used for tracking
and polishing of any vehicle by using Global Positioning System (GPS) and Global System
for Mobile Communication (GSM).
In this invention Arduino UNO (A Tmega328) is used for interface to various
hardware peripherals. The current design is an embedded application, which will
continuously monitor a moving boat and report the status of the boat on demand.
For doing so on Arduino UNO is interface serially to a GSM Modem and GPS
receiver. A GSM modem is used to send the Position (Latitude and Longitude) of the boat
from a sea. The GPS modem will continuously give the data i.e. the latitude and longitude
indicating the position of the boat.
The GPS modem gives many parameters. The data is sent to the mobile at the other
end from where the position of the boat is demanded. An EEPROM is used to store the data
receive by GPS receiver.

When a dummy message sends by the fisherman to the module it will send their coordinates
and their boat details to the control room. This will help the officers to send the
assist for the person who needs it and it reaches them as soon as possible. So, the fisherman
will not get suffer in the mid of the sea. It will save their life. The message will contain
location, date & time, boat number and help message. With this data the officer will refer the
data and take the action according to that.

The future scope of this invention is enhanced the features like improving the signal
strength like incorporate the signal boosters in the Tsunami Buoys to gel signal over the sea
costal line. Extend the microprocessor for adding additional features like buzzer for reaching
near the costal line, two-way communication between the control room and with the boat if
it's need to send any warning message, boat tracking for preventing illegal movement. We
can make the device much more compact which can be incorporate within the ship for
efficient process. And also put a display in the boat so that fisherman can also find the
international coastal line because of this will prevent getting cross the costal line
unknowingly, And it will help the fisherman to find the best place for fishing by storing the
location in the system it will help them to increase the efficiency of the fishing. And they can
easily return to the sea shore earlier and safer. And update the weather forecasting directly to
the boat so they can get aware of the forecast so, they will respond according to that. This
will make easy the fisher process for the fisherman. Finding the data for the fishery and its
development process. If any hazardous going to happen we can send that message to the
fisherman who already went to the sea in advance so they can get alert and return to the sea
shore without getting any trouble. This will help the government to reduce the pressure and
monitor the boat movement 24/7.
