Abstract

In the present innovation, we attempted a proposanal control technique for implementing a real-time GSM-integrated automatic height-adjusting bridge system to enhance safety and avoid accidents during heavy rainfalls and floods. The system utilizes Ultrasonic sensor, Arduino UNO microcontroller, linear actuator, LCD, LED indicators, GSM modem, etc. The ultrasonic sensor provides water level data in the reservoir along with bridge position feedback data from the linear actuator. The Arduino UNO microcontroller processes all these data and provides such a driving pulse to the linear actuator driver so that the long actuator will run with the bridge as far as proposanal feedback data becomes equal to reference water level data. So, the system continuously tracks the level of the water accordingly and adjusts the height of the bridge. GSM modem receives the present status of water levels and position of the bridge to the user. Besides that, LCD and LED indicators provide system status, and the user may get current status data at any time simply by sending text as GET DATA to GSM. Furthermore, the system provides an alert message to the user once the water level in the reservoir exceeds more than 90% (0.5V) and automatically both entry gates are closed. Finally, the proposed system prototype has been validated and is effective in functioning even with a change in water level. Thereby reducing risks and improving the resilience and safety of infrastructure in flood-prone areas.

Specification

Description:A novel smart bridge system design incorporating the feature of an automatic height-adjusting mechanism against such adverse impacts of flooding on infrastructures, security, and public safety has been conceptualized. This new design would result in improved security, ensuring communication even during weathering events. This system would battle flood-related environmental issues through the adoption of leading-edge technologies embedded in analog ultrasonic sensor (US), linear actuator, GSM modem, LCD (Liquid Crystal Display), LED (Light-Emitting Diode) indicators, alarms along with automated shut down entry gates, and Arduino UNO microcontroller. This innovation would be a great leap in science and technology, representing a concrete way of safeguarding important infrastructure and resilience to extreme climatic conditions. , C , Claims:1. The method as claimed in the claim for the proposanal control technique of a real-time monitor system with a wireless GSM link to retrieve the current water level data in the reservoir.

2. The method as claimed the system uses advanced control technology while regulating the position of the bridge based on water level heights in the reservoir.

3. The method as claimed at the same time, the user can get real-time water level of the reservoir on their mobile in text form and accessible from anywhere in the world.

4. The method as claimed the system employs a linear actuator in lifting the bridge precisely and smoothly. In doing so, this mechanism ensures controlled movement where adjustments can be made with accuracy as regards changes in the water level for proficient and dependable operation in raising and lowering the bridge accordingly.

5. The method as claimed the system activates the alarm together with transmission of the alert message to the user whenever the level of water in the reservoir exceeds 80%. It gives the user an earlier notification so that it can take measures before the water levels acquire more dangerous levels.
