RADIAL PRESS

Abstract

The invention relates to a radial press comprising at least six main jaws (8) which are arranged concentrically and in a uniform manner about a press axis (X) and can be moved radially in the direction of the press axis (X) and away therefrom by means of a drive unit and each of which has a contact surface (9) radially inwards as well as mechanical holding means for press jaws that can be attached to the main jaws in an exchangeable manner. According to the invention, a cutting tool (11) is received in a tool installation area delimited outwardly by the main jaws (8). The cutting tool comprises multiple cutting attachments (12), each of which is attached to a main jaw (8) and each of which comprises a base structure (13). At least one of the cutting attachments (12) additionally comprises a cutting structure (14). Each base structure (13) has a support surface which rests against the contact surface (9) of the paired main jaw (8) and at least one engagement element which interacts with the mechanical holding means of the paired main jaw (8). The at least one cutting structure (14) protrudes from the paired base structure (13) in the direction of the press axis (X) and has a cutting edge facing away from the support surface of the paired base structure (13).
