Abstract
The present invention relates to a pest control composition comprising a solvent and a combination of active ingredients, said combination of active ingredients comprising oil of lemon eucalyptus, eucalyptus oil, and pine oil; wherein the weight ratio of the oil of lemon eucalyptus to the eucalyptus oil is higher than 2.25:1. The invention further relates to a method of repelling insects from a region around a hard surface, a fabric, or a clothed person, the method comprising applying an effective amount of the pest control composition according to the invention to an area of the hard surface, the fabric, or the clothes. The invention also relates to a pest control product for repelling insects comprising the pest control composition according to the invention. It also relates to the use of the pest control composition or the pest control product to repel insects, preferably flying insects.
