MULTIPURPOSE SHAPE MEMORY FOOT REST FOR TWO- WHEELERS

Abstract

The existing foot rest has got many demerits for safety and hygiene, in order to overcome the drawbacks, we have designed a new multipurpose foldable shape memory polymer cover which is fixed on the foot rest with the help of self-locking screws, protects the pants of the riders from getting soiled and also acts as a safety tool for riders and protective cover for foots.

Description:The discovery involves the prevention of rider's dress getting muddy from the pillion foot on
the foot rest in bikes. This polymer-based covering is made of a flexible material that can itself
get folded when not in use. This covering not only protect the riders dress but also safety tool
for the rider and pillion. , Claims:1. Multipurpose shape memory foot rest (100) for two-wheelers comprising: contains a
shape memory hood (101) made up of polymer act as protective covering and for safety, a
foot rest (102) for the leg support and self-locking stainless-steel screws (103) for fastening;
2. Multipurpose shape memory foot rest (100) for two-wheelers as claimed in claim 1,
wherein the shape memory hood (101) made up of polymer has a length in the range of 90-
120mm in order to support the length of the leg;

wherein the shape memory hood (101) made up of polymer has a Circular crossection
having a outer radius of 25 mm and inner radius of 23mm and the center distance of 90mm
to accommodate the width of the foot wear;

a foot rest (102) has tapered rectangular cross section with a length of 115mm and height
25 mm which will serve the purpose of foot rest; and

self-locking stainless-steel screws (103) used to fasten shape memory (101) hood with the
leg stand (102).
