Description:FIELD OF THE INVENTION

[0001] The present invention relates to a modular resting device that is capable of adjusting to the user's body dimensions in view of offering a resting experience that resembles the comfort of being at home. In addition, the proposed device is also capable of monitoring the intensity of the sunlight in the surrounding environment and autonomously provide shade for shielding the user from excessive sun exposure.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0002] Resting outdoors offers a range of activities and experiences that allow individuals to take a break, relax, and rejuvenate in the middle of the natural surroundings. Whether it's during a hike, a camping trip, a day at the beach, or simply lounging in a park resting outdoors serves various purposes. Resting outdoors offers a mental and emotional wellbeing from the stresses of everyday life. Spending time in nature provides an opportunity to disconnect, unwind, and recharge. Whether it's sitting by a campfire under the stars, listening to the sound of waves crashing on the shore, or simply enjoying the peace and quiet of a forest, outdoor resting allows individuals to clear their minds, reduce stress, and find inner calm. Portable chairs, hammocks, or picnic blankets are widely used by people for resting in the outdoors allowing individuals to take breaks, relax their muscles, and soak in the beauty of nature. By preventing fatigue and reducing the risk of injuries, resting equipment enables outdoor enthusiasts to prolong their outings and make the most of their time outdoors.

[0003] Traditional outdoor resting methods such as sitting on the ground or using picnic blankets offer simplicity but lack comfort and protection from uneven terrain and moisture. Folding chairs provide greater comfort but are very bulky and unstable. Hammocks offer elevated relaxation but require suitable anchor points and do not provide shield against weather or insects adequately. These methods vary in their suitability depending on factors such as the duration of the outing, terrain, and personal preferences. Balancing comfort, convenience, and practicality is essential when choosing a resting method for outdoor activities.

[0004] CN210383062U discloses about an invention that has picnic blanket comprises a cloth cover, a carpet body and a handle, the storage bag is connected to the edge of one side of the cloth cover, and a bag opening of the storage bag faces the edge ofthe side or deviates from the edge of the side and is used for containing the folded cloth cover. When the picnic blanket is used, the cloth cover is unfolded and laid on the ground. When the cloth cover is not used, the cloth cover is folded until the size of the storage bag is small, and the cloth cover is stuffed into the storage bag. Folding storage of the picnic blanket is achieved. And compared with the existing random folding or kneading mode, the carrying is convenient. Although, CN'062 discloses about a means for resting outdoors as per the requirement of the user. However, the cited invention lacks in protecting the user from sunlight while resting outdoors along with insects/mosquitoes bites that spread various diseases.

[0005] CN212815307U discloses about an invention that provides an outdoor resting chair, which belongs to the technical field of resting equipment, and comprises an article table, a chair body and a seat frame, the table board is supported on the ground through the supporting columns. A plurality of seats which are dispersedly arranged around the article table; one end of the seat and a supporting column of the article table are arranged in a sliding mode in the vertical direction, and the other end of the seat is provided with a lifting adjusting leg. According to the outdoor resting chair, the height of the chair can be adjusted, the outdoor resting chair is suitable for people with different heights, the requirements of people with different heights are met, and the experience of people is more comfortable. Though, CN'307 discloses about a method for resting in the outdoor on the chair in an appropriate manner. However, the cited invention lacks in adjusting as per the body dimension of the user making them uncomfortable for longer use. Also, the device fall incapable in providing shade from the sunlight during daytime.

[0006] Conventionally, many devices are available in the market that aid the user in resting in the outdoor environments amidst the nature. However, the cited invention lacks in adjusting as per the body dimension of the user for offering comfortable experience for resting. Also, the mentioned devices are incapable of protecting shield against insect/mosquitoes that causes illness to the user upon biting.

[0007] In order to overcome the aforementioned drawbacks, there exists a need in the art to develop a device that is capable of adjusting as per the accommodated user's body dimension in order to give user a comfortable resting experience. In addition, the device also shield against the excessive sunlight that enhances the comfort of the user while resting outdoors.

OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION

[0008] The principal object of the present invention is to overcome the disadvantages of the prior art.

[0009] An object of the present invention is to develop a device that is capable of providing a means to a user for resting appropriately in a relaxed manner by being adjusting as per the body dimension of the user in view of providing home-like experience to the user.

[0010] Another object of the present invention is to develop a device that is capable of facilitating the user in providing a comfortable experience while resting, thereby reducing chances of discomfort and soft injuries.

[0011] Another object of the present invention is to develop a device that is capable of determining the intensity of the sunlight in the surroundings and accordingly protects the user by providing shade from sunlight while resting.

[0012] Yet another object of the present invention is to develop a device that is capable of protecting the user from insects/mosquitoes in view of eliminating chances of falling sick due to insect/mosquito bites.

[0013] The foregoing and other objects, features, and advantages of the present invention will become readily apparent upon further review of the following detailed description of the preferred embodiment as illustrated in the accompanying drawings.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0014] The present invention relates to a modular resting device that is capable of adapting to individual body sizes in order to provide relaxation that ensures optimal comfort during resting outdoors. Additionally, the proposed device is also capable of safeguarding user from insects/ mosquitoes, thereby reducing the chances of illness and ensuring a more pleasant resting experience.

[0015] According to an embodiment of the present invention, a modular resting device comprises of a platform developed to be positioned on a ground surface for accommodating a user, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit to determine body dimensions of the accommodated user, plurality of plates integrated in the platform via multiple motorized hinge joints to tilt the plates as per the determined body dimensions, an inflatable layer constructed over plates for providing comfort to the user, a microphone integrated on the platform for receiving voice command of the user regarding a user-desired height, a pair of hydraulic units arranged underneath the platform to extend/retract for orienting the platform at the user-desired height.

[0016] According to another embodiment of the present invention, the proposed device further comprises of a LDR (light dependent resistor) integrated on the platform for monitoring intensity of light in surrounding, a pair of hoods attached on ends to get deployed for protecting the user from sunlight, a pair of curved structures assembled on lateral sides of the platform to get deployed over the platform in view of establishing a covering, a motorized hinge joint integrated in between curved member and platform for orienting the curved members, a meshed fabric fabricated in the structures for preventing entry of insects and mosquitoes inside the covering, plurality of extendable rods attached beneath the platform that are equipped with motorized wheel for providing movement to the platform and a battery is configured with the platform for providing a continuous power supply to electronically powered components associated with the device.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0023] Referring to Figure 1 and 2, an isometric view of a modular resting device in stowed state and a deployed state of mesh sheet of the proposed device is illustrated, a platform 101 developed to be positioned on a ground surface, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 102 installed on the platform 101, plurality of plates 103 integrated in the platform 101 and connected with each other by means of multiple motorized hinge joints 104, an inflatable layer 105 is fabricated on the plates 103, a microphone 106 integrated on the platform 101, a pair of hydraulic units 107 arranged underneath the platform 101, a pair of hoods 108 integrated on ends of the platform 101, a pair of curved structures 201 assembled on lateral sides of the platform 101, a meshed fabric 202 is integrated in the structures 201 and plurality of extendable rods 109 are integrated underneath the platform 101 each integrated with a motorized wheel 110.

[0024] The device disclosed herein includes a platform 101 that is developed to be positioned on a ground surface for accommodating user on the platform 101 in a secured manner. The platform 101 is cast with highly durable materials offering a large space to accommodate the user. Also, the platform 101 is light in weight allowing the user to place the platform 101 from one site to another, as per the requirement of the user. The outer surface of the platform 101 is layered with thin paint sheets protecting the platform 101 from accumulating dust and any water buildup as well as preventing the platform 101 from rusting when exposed to the outer atmosphere. The platform 101 is capable of bearing the weight of the user while securely accommodating the user.

[0025] Multiple extendable rods 109 (preferably four in number) are configured beneath the platform 101 where each of the rods 109 are equipped with multiple (preferably four in number) wheel 110 that gets actuated by an inbuilt microcontroller which is pre-fed with the instructions required to control the operation of various components associated with the proposed device. The extendable rods 109 get extend/retract by means of pneumatic arrangement integrated within the rods 109. The pneumatic arrangement includes a pneumatic cylinder, air compressor, electronic valve, cylinder and piston. The valve is an electronic valve that allows entry/exit of compressed air from the compressor. Furthermore, the valve opens and the compressed air enters inside the cylinder thereby increasing the air pressure of the cylinder. The piston is connected to the cylinder and due to the increase in the air pressure, the piston extends. For the retraction of the piston, air is released from the cylinder to the air compressor via the valve. Thus, providing the required extension/retraction of the rods 109, for adjusting the height of the platform 101 as per the requirement.

[0026] The motorized wheel 110 employed herein are a circular object that revolves on an axle to enable the platform 101 to move easily over the ground surface. For maneuvering the platform 101 each of the wheels 110 need to rotate and which is governed by a hub motor fit in the hub of each of the wheels 110. The hub motor is an electric motor that is integrated into the hub of the wheels 110. The hub motor comprises of a series of permanent magnets and electromagnetic coils. When the motor is activated, a magnetic field is set up in the coil and when the magnetic field of the coil interacts with the magnetic field of the permanent magnets, a magnetic torque is generated causing the stator of the motor to turn and that provides the rotation motion to the wheels 110 for maneuvering the platform 101 on the ground surface.

[0027] An artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 102 is configured on the platform 101 captures multiple images of the platform 101 in order to determine presence of the user on the platform 101 in accordance to determine dimensions of the accommodated user. The artificial intelligence (AI)-based imaging unit 102 refers to a camera that incorporates AI protocols to enhance its functionality and capabilities. AI protocols are used to process and analyses the images or videos captured by the camera, enabling it to perform various tasks beyond traditional image capturing. The AI analysis is performed locally on the camera itself and the real-time processing on the camera enables immediate responses and faster decision- making. The camera captures images or records videos by the help of specialized lenses designed to capture high-quality visuals.

[0028] The captured data is pre-processed to enhance its quality and prepare it for artificial intelligence (AI) analysis. This pre-processing involves tasks such as noise reduction, images stabilization, or color correction. The processed data is fed into AI protocols for analysis which utilizes machine learning techniques, such as deep learning neural networks, to extract meaningful information from the visual data that is further transmitted to an inbuilt microcontroller pre-fed with the instructions required to control the operation of various components associated with the proposed device.

[0029] Based on the received data, the user's body dimensions are measured carefully and taking the body dimensions into consideration, multiple plates 103 are constructed in the platform 101 that are attached with each other via multiple motorized hinge joints 104 that gets actuated by the microcontroller in view of tilting the plate as per the determined body dimensions of the user for enabling the user to get comfortably accommodated over the platform 101.

[0030] The hinge joints 104 used herein comprises of a pair of plates 103 that is screwed in between the plates 103. The pair of plates 103 is connected with each other by means of a cylindrical member that is integrated with a shaft coupled with the motor. The microcontroller actuates an on/off switch that is embedded with the motor to pass electric current which results in rotation of motor that in turn rotation of the shaft. The rotation of the shaft results in opening and closing of the hinge joints 104. When the motor rotates in clockwise direction the shaft rotates in clockwise direction and results in opening of the hinge joints 104. When the motor rotates in anticlockwise direction, then the shaft rotates in anticlockwise direction and results in closing of hinge joints 104, thereby providing tilting movement to the plates 103 as per the determined body dimensions of the user.

[0031] An inflatable layer 105 gets actuated by the microcontroller that is assembled over the plates 103 in view of providing comfortable experience to the user on the platform 101. The inflatable layer 105 comprises of an air compressor which extracts the air from surrounding and increases the pressure of the air by reducing the volume of the air and which is further injected in the layer 105. Further, the inflatable layer 105 is laminated of multiple thin polymeric films, when air is inserted in the inflatable layer 105 by means of air compressor, the films are puffed and the layer 105 becomes soft and that provides the comfort to the user while resting.

[0032] A microphone 106 is installed on the platform 101 in view of receiving voice command of the user regrading a user-desired height at which the platform 101 is to be oriented. The microphone 106 is a type of transducer which converts the sound into electrical signal. The magnetic field created due to current in the voice coil interacts with the magnetic field of the microphone 106's magnet, which forces the coil to move back and forth, this movement of the coil is detected by the microcontroller in the form of electrical signal.

[0033] Based on the user-desired height, the microcontroller directs a pair of hydraulic units 107 installed underneath the platform 101 in order to extend/retract for orienting the platform 101 at the user-desired height. The hydraulic units 107 include a hydraulic pump, solenoid valve and hydraulic piston-cylinder. The hydraulic pump used herein extract the hydraulic oil from a reservoir and pressurized the fluid mechanically. The hydraulic pump consists of two main parts including a motor and a propeller. The motor rotates the propeller which uses the energy from the motor drive to draw in hydraulic oil from the reservoir and compress to elevated pressure. The compressed hydraulic oil is then sent through a discharge tube into the cylinder across the solenoid valve. As per the signal from the microcontroller, the solenoid valve opens and allows the entering of the pressurized oil in the cylinder. The solenoid valve comprises of a gate and a magnetic coil, which on energizing generates the magnetic force which tries to push the gate to open and allow the flow of oil in the jack The pressurized oil within the cylinder tend to pushes out the piston out from the cylinder which results in extension hydraulic units 107 for orienting the platform 101 at the user-desired height as per the requirement.

[0034] Upon attaining the user-desired height, the microcontroller activates a LDR (light dependent resistor) embedded on the platform 101 in view of monitoring the intensity of the sunlight in the surroundings of the platform 101. The LDRs (light-dependent resistor) is used to detect light levels. The resistance of the resistor decreases as the light intensity increases. In the dark and at low light levels, the resistance of the LDR is high and little voltage flow through the resistor. And in case of bright light, the resistance is high and low voltage flows across the resistor. The voltage fluctuation due to variation in the intensity is detected by the microcontroller. The microcontroller analyses the voltages in order to determine the sunlight intensity in vicinity to the platform 101.

[0035] Herein, in case the monitored intensity recedes a threshold intensity, the microcontroller directs a pair of hoods 108 installed on ends of the platform 101 to get deployed in view of establishing the hoods 108 over the platform 101 for protecting the user from the sunlight. Alongside, the microcontroller commands a motorized hinge joint to deploy a pair of curved structures 201 integrated on extreme ends of the platform 101 for establishing a covering over the platform 101 in a secured manner.

[0036] Furthermore, a meshed fabric 202 is fabricated in the structures 201 in view of preventing entry of insects or mosquitoes inside the covering for protecting the user from the insects/mosquitoes. Meshed fabric 202 provides an optimal and effective protection by keeping away mosquitoes and reducing chances of mosquito/insects' bites which are a reason for various diseases.

[0037] Lastly, a battery (not shown in fig.) integrated with the device for supplying a continuous DC (direct current) voltage to the components such as motors, microcontrollers and various other components that are associated with device. The battery used in the invention is preferably Lithium-ion battery that is rechargeable once again after getting drained out for proper functioning of the components.

[0038] The present invention works best in the following manner, where the platform 101 is positioned over the ground surface as disclosed in the proposed invention is fabricated with multiple extendable rods 109 equipped with motorized wheels 110 for moving the platform 101 on the surface as per the requirement of the user. Now, the artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 102 captures multiple images of the platform 101 for identifying the presence of the user and determines the body dimension of the accommodated user. Multiple plates 103 get tilted via motorized hinge joints 104 for allowing user to get accommodated on the platform 101 comfortably and the inflatable layer 105 gets inflated for providing comfortable and relaxing experience to the user. Then, the microphone 106 receives voice commands of the user regarding the user-desired height at which the platform 101 is to be oriented and the hydraulic units 107 extend/retract as per the user-specified height. Further, the LDR (light dependent resistor) determines the intensity of the sunlight in accordance to deploy the pair of hoods 108 for shielding the user from sunlight. Also, the pair of curved structures 201 via motorized hinge joint to set up over platform 101 for forming a covering over the platform 101 in view of protecting he user from insects/mosquitoes.

[0039] Although the field of the invention has been described herein with limited reference to specific embodiments, this description is not meant to be construed in a limiting sense. Various modifications of the disclosed embodiments, as well as alternate embodiments of the invention, will become apparent to persons skilled in the art upon reference to the description of the invention. , Claims:1) A modular resting device, comprising:

i) a platform 101 developed to be positioned on a ground surface, wherein said platform 101 is accessed by a user for getting accommodated on said platform 101;
ii) an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 102 installed on said platform 101 and integrated with a processor for capturing and processing multiple images of said platform 101, respectively to determine body dimensions of said accommodated user;
iii) plurality of plates 103 integrated in said platform 101 and connected with each other by means of multiple motorized hinge joints 104 that are actuated by an inbuilt microcontroller to tilt said plates 103 as per said determined body dimensions of said user in view of allowing said user to get comfortably accommodated on said platform 101, wherein an inflatable layer 105 is fabricated on said plates 103 that are actuated by said microcontroller to get inflated for providing comfort to said user on said platform 101;
iv) a microphone 106 integrated on said platform 101 for receiving voice command of said user regarding a user-desired height at which said platform 101 is to be oriented, based on which said microcontroller actuates a pair of hydraulic units 107 arranged underneath said platform 101 to extend/retract for orienting said platform 101 at said user-desired height;
v) a LDR (light dependent resistor) integrated on said platform 101 for monitoring intensity of light in surrounding of said platform 101 and in case said monitored intensity recedes a threshold intensity, said microcontroller actuates a pair of hoods 108 integrated on ends of said platform 101 to get deployed for establishing said hoods 108 over said platform 101 in view of protecting said user from sunlight; and
vi) a pair of curved structures 201 assembled on lateral sides of said platform 101, each by means of a motorized hinge joint that are actuated by said microcontroller to get deployed over said platform 101 in view of establishing a covering over said platform 101, wherein a meshed fabric 202 is integrated in said structures 201 for preventing entry of insects or mosquitoes inside said covering in order to protect said user from said insects/mosquitoes.

2) The device as claimed in claim 1, wherein plurality of extendable rods 109 are integrated underneath said platform 101, each integrated with a motorized wheel 110 that are actuated by said microcontroller to move said platform 101 on said surface.

3) The device as claimed in claim 1, wherein a battery is configured with said platform 101 for providing a continuous power supply to electronically powered components associated with said device.
