Abstract

The present disclosure provides a modified promoter capable of flexibly regulating the expression level of a gene encoding a protein. The modified promoter according to the present disclosure is a promoter modified by, with respect to a 348-nucleotide nucleotide sequence (sequence number 1) upstream of an initiator codon of an slr1841 gene, or a nucleotide sequence having not less than 80% homology with the nucleotide sequence represented by sequence number 1, performing at least one selected from the group consisting of (i) substituting another nucleotide for one or more nucleotides included in the nucleotide sequence, (ii) deleting one or more nucleotides from the nucleotide sequence, and (iii) inserting one or more nucleotides into the nucleotide sequence.
