Abstract
Systems, methods, apparatuses, and computer program products for providing Mode-1 sidelink direct communication-based relay selection during path switch. One method may include receiving, by a user device of a communication network, from a network node an indication of a selection of a candidate user device associated with at least one ongoing sidelink transmission to the user device for a path switch operation of the user device. The selection is based on a link quality of the at least one ongoing sidelink transmission.
