METHODS AND APPARATUSES FOR CONFIGURING UPLINK POSITIONING REFERENCE SIGNAL, AND DEVICES AND STORAGE MEDIUM

Abstract

The present application relates to the field of mobile communications. Disclosed are methods and apparatuses for configuring an uplink positioning reference signal, and devices and a storage medium. A method comprises: sending a first message to a first network device, wherein the first message comprises an uplink positioning reference signal configuration, and the first message is used for requesting the first network device to reserve the uplink positioning reference signal configuration. A first network device is instructed to reserve an uplink positioning reference signal configuration, such that a terminal device that sends an uplink positioning reference signal using the uplink positioning reference signal configuration can still continue using the uplink positioning reference signal configuration when performing reselection to a cell of the first network device, and frequent information exchange with the network device is avoided, thereby achieving a reduction in positioning latency and a reduction in power consumption of the terminal device.
