Method and System for Blood Group Identification Using Fingerprint Biometrics

ORDINARY APPLICATION

Filed on 6 November 2024

Abstract

Fingerprint matching algorithms assist in extracting features needed to create a CNN model, providing flattened image representations for fully connected neural networks to classify input images. Because the mapping of fingerprints is a new concept without established methods, prebuilt CNN models such as AlexNet and LeNet-5 are employed to first categorize the fingerprint data provided as input. Each model's performance is assessed to determine the best features, resulting in the development of a tailored CNN for this purpose. This system leverages the unique patterns and ridge formations in fingerprints, which research suggests may correlate with specific blood group characteristics. The invention includes a device and software that capture and analyze fingerprint images, identifying blood group information based on pattern recognition algorithms. This method provides a fast, cost-effective, and accessible alternative to traditional blood tests, enabling healthcare providers, emergency responders, and individuals to rapidly determine blood group without the need for specialized laboratory equipment or invasive procedures

This method provides a fast, cost-effective, and accessible alternative to traditional blood tests, enabling healthcare providers, emergency responders, and individuals to rapidly determine blood group without the need for specialized laboratory equipment or invasive procedures , C , C , Claims:A Blood group identification system comprising -

a) At least one fingerprint scanner

b) At least one data processing unit (computer / server system) for receiving, recording and compiling data
c) A user interface

2. The Blood group identification system according to claim 1, wherein said scanner will be required for capturing fingerprint images.

3. The Blood group identification system according to claim 1, wherein said scanner will be required to analyze the fingerprint images to identify blood type.

4. The Blood group identification system according to claim 1, wherein user interface required to facilitate user to provide fingerprint as input and know the blood group as output.
