Specification

Description:FIELD OF THE DISCLOSURE
[0001] This invention generally relates to a field of construction materials and, in particular, to a method of preparing engineered cementitious composites designed to enhance mechanical properties and sustainability.
BACKGROUND

[0002] The subject matter discussed in the background section should not be assumed to be prior art merely as a result of its mention in the background section. Similarly, a problem mentioned in the background section or associated with the subject matter of the background section should not be assumed to have been previously recognized in the prior art. The subject matter in the background section merely represents different approaches, which in and of themselves may also correspond to implementations of the claimed technology.
[0003] Conventional construction materials, such as ordinary Portland cement (OPC), have been widely used in the construction industry due to their availability and cost-effectiveness. However, these materials exhibit significant l , Claims:1. A method (100) of preparing engineered cementitious composites comprising:
selecting supplementary cementitious materials (SCMs);
preparing a fiber-reinforced matrix;
optimizing the mix design to achieve enhanced mechanical properties and sustainability; and
subjecting the optimized mix to a controlled curing process.

2. The method as claimed in claim 1, wherein the SCMs include fly ash, slag, or silica fume.

3. The method as claimed in claim 1, wherein the fibers are selected from synthetic, natural, or recycled fibers.

4. The method as claimed in claim 1, wherein the optimization of the mix design includes adjusting the proportions of cement, SCMs, water, and fibers.
