Abstract

ABSTRACT A method (100) for waste management, the method (100) comprising the steps of collecting waste from plurality of designated waste collection zones across different geographic regions, transporting the collected waste to assigned segregation hubs, wherein each segregation hub is designated based on proximity and waste volume generated in a corresponding waste collection zone of the plurality of designated waste collection zones, segregating the collected waste at each of the assigned segregation hubs into recyclable waste category and non-recyclable waste category and transporting the collected waste of the recyclable waste category from each of the assigned segregation hubs to one or more treatment plants based on predetermined routes.

Specification

Description:FIELD OF THE DISCLOSURE
[0001] This invention generally relates to a field of waste management and in particular relates to a method for municipality solid waste management by segregating the solid waste into recyclable and non-recyclable waste categories.
BACKGROUND
[0002] The subject matter discussed in the background section should not be assumed to be prior art merely as a result of its mention in the background section. Similarly, a problem mentioned in the background section or associated with the subject matter of the background section should not be assumed to have been previously recognized in the prior art. The subject matter in the background section merely represents different approaches, which in and of themselves may also correspond to implementations of the claimed technology.
[0003] Waste management is an essential operation in urban and rural environments, as the accumulation of waste poses significant environmental and public health risks. Efficient waste management processes aim to minim , Claims:1. A method (100) for waste management, the method (100) comprising the steps of:
collecting waste from plurality of designated waste collection zones across different geographic regions;
transporting the collected waste to assigned segregation hubs, wherein each segregation hub is designated based on proximity and waste volume generated in a corresponding waste collection zone of the plurality of designated waste collection zones;
segregating the collected waste at each of the assigned segregation hubs into recyclable waste category and non-recyclable waste category; and
transporting the collected waste of the recyclable waste category from each of the assigned segregation hubs to one or more treatment plants based on predetermined routes.

2. The method (100) as claimed in claim 1, further comprising implementing a mixed-integer linear equation to optimize the allocation of the plurality of waste collection zones to the assigned segregation hubs and the routing of the collected waste of the recyclable was
