[0001] This invention generally relates to a field of organic chemistry, and in particular, to a method for synthesizing chromone derivatives. The invention aims to provide a novel and efficient synthesis method for these compounds, which are known for their potential biological activities and applications in medicinal chemistry.

preparing a chromone core structure by reacting a suitable precursor with a reagent;
optimizing reaction conditions to maximize yield;
isolating and purifying the resulting chromone derivative; and
characterizing the synthesized chromone derivative to confirm its structure and purity.

2. The method (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the chromone core structure is prepared by reacting 2-hydroxyacetophenone with malonic acid.

3. The method (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the reaction conditions include factors such as temperature, solvent, and reaction time.

4. The method (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the catalyst is selected from the group consisting of acids and bases.

5. The method (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the characterization of the synthesized chromone derivative is performed using techniques including nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy, infrared (IR) spectroscopy, and mass spectrometry (MS).
