Specification

Description:FIELD OF THE DISCLOSURE
[0001] This invention generally relates to a field of antibiofilm nanoparticles and in particular relates to a method for synthesising antibiofilm nanoparticles.
BACKGROUND

[0002] The subject matter discussed in the background section should not be assumed to be prior art merely as a result of its mention in the background section. Similarly, a problem mentioned in the background section or associated with the subject matter of the background section should not be assumed to have been previously recognized in the prior art. The subject matter in the background section merely represents different approaches, which in and of themselves may also correspond to implementations of the claimed technology.
[0003] Traditionally, antimicrobial agents have been widely employed to combat bacterial infections and prevent biofilm formation on various surfaces. Common approaches include the use of chemical disinfectants, antibiotics, and coatings that inhibit microbial adhesion. However, these me , Claims:1. A method (100) for synthesizing antibiofilm nanoparticles, the method (100) comprising the steps of:
processing a plant extract in deionised water to prepare an aqueous plant extract;
mixing the aqueous plant extract with a copper salt solution;
stirring the aqueous plant extract in the copper solution to obtain a copper oxide nanoparticles mixture; and
drying the copper oxide nanoparticles at a temperature in the range of 50oC to 80 oC mixture to obtain copper oxide nanoparticles.

2. The method (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the copper salt solution corresponds to a solution of copper sulphate.
