Abstract
The present invention provides a method and system for securing Internet of Things (IoT) devices using blockchain technology. The method involves registering each IoT device on a blockchain network with a unique cryptographic key pair, where the public key is stored on the blockchain for device authentication. Once authenticated, IoT devices communicate securely over the network with encrypted data, recorded on the blockchain to ensure data integrity and non-repudiation. The system also utilizes smart contracts to enforce access control policies, automatically granting or denying network access based on predefined conditions such as device identity, firmware version, or manufacturer. This decentralized approach provides enhanced security for IoT networks, mitigating risks of unauthorized access, data tampering, and breaches while offering a scalable, efficient, and transparent solution for IoT device management.

The rapid expansion of the Internet of Things (IoT) has , Claims:1. An IoT security method using blockchain technology, comprising:
registering each Internet of Things (IoT) device on a blockchain network by generating a unique cryptographic key pair for each device, wherein the public key of the device is stored on the blockchain;
authenticating each IoT device by comparing its public key with the keys stored on the blockchain before granting access to the network;
enabling secure encrypted communication between authenticated IoT devices over the blockchain network, wherein each communication is encrypted with the device's private key and recorded as a transaction on the blockchain to ensure data integrity;
utilizing smart contracts to enforce access control policies, wherein the smart contract defines access permissions for each IoT device based on predefined criteria.
2. The method of claim 1, wherein the blockchain network is a decentralized ledger that stores the public keys of IoT devices, cryptographic data transactions, and smart contracts.
3. The method of claim
