Abstract
The present invention relates to a Method for Secure Data Transmission in IoT Networks Using Blockchain and Encryption Techniques. The present invention comprises deploying a plurality of IoT devices, each configured to collect data and generate encrypted data packets using a cryptographic encryption key, creating and maintaining a blockchain network across the IoT devices, wherein the blockchain network stores transactions containing metadata of each encrypted data packet to ensure immutability and data integrity, transmitting each encrypted data packet from a transmitting IoT device to a blockchain node, wherein the encrypted data packet includes a timestamp and an IoT device identifier for validation, verifying the authenticity and integrity of the data packet at the blockchain node by comparing the cryptographic signature of the transmitting IoT device against a known public key stored in the blockchain network and recording verified data transactions in the blockchain ledger. [003] In the era of rapidly growing Internet of Things (IoT) networks, where countless devices are interconnected and communicate with each other, data security has become a critical concern. IoT devices frequently transmit sensitive data-such as personal health metrics, financial information, and environmental sensor readings-which, if intercepted or manipulated, could lead to severe privacy and security risks.
[004] , Claims:1. A method for secure data transmission in Internet of Things (IoT) networks, comprising:
deploying a plurality of IoT devices, each configured to collect data and generate encrypted data packets using a cryptographic encryption key;
creating and maintaining a blockchain network across the IoT devices, wherein the blockchain network stores transactions containing metadata of each encrypted data packet to ensure immutability and data integrity;
transmitting each encrypted data packet from a transmitting IoT device to a blockchain node, wherein the encrypted data packet includes a timestamp and an IoT device identifier for validation;
