Abstract

ABSTRACT A method (100) for investigating micellization behavior of ionic liquids with gelatin. Further, the method comprising preparing a solution of an ionic liquid in distilled water. Further, the method (100) comprising the steps of adding varying concentrations of gelatin (0.03 wt% to 0.09 wt%) to the ionic liquid solution. Further, the method (100) comprising the steps of measuring the electrical conductivity of the solutions at temperatures of 298.15 K, 303.15 K, 308.15 K, and 313.15 K. Further, the method (100) comprising the steps of analyzing conductivity data to compute thermodynamic parameters related to micellization, including Gibbs free energy, enthalpy, and entropy changes. <>

Specification

Description:
FIELD OF THE DISCLOSURE
[0001] This invention generally relates to the field of ionic liquids and their applications in micellization processes, and in particular relates to a method for investigating the micellization behavior of surface-active ionic liquids in the presence of gelatin as an additive, aimed at enhancing the efficiency and sustainability of chemical formulations.
BACKGROUND
[0002] The subject matter discussed in the background section should not be assumed to be prior art merely as a result of its mention in the background section. Similarly, a problem mentioned in the background section or associated with the subject matter of the background section should not be assumed to have been previously recognized in the prior art. The subject matter in the background section merely represents different approaches, which in and of themselves may also correspond to implementations of the claimed technology.
[0003] The increasing demand for environmentally friendly solvents has prompted significant , Claims:1. A method (100) for investigating micellization behavior of ionic liquids with gelatin, the method comprising the steps of:
preparing a solution of an ionic liquid in distilled water;
adding varying concentrations of gelatin (0.03 wt% to 0.09 wt%) to the ionic liquid solution;
measuring the electrical conductivity of the solutions at temperatures of 298.15 K, 303.15 K, 308.15 K, and 313.15 K; and
analyzing conductivity data to compute thermodynamic parameters related to micellization, including Gibbs free energy, enthalpy, and entropy changes.

2. The method (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the ionic liquid is [C12C1pyr][Br], and the conductivity measurements are used to determine the critical micelle concentration (CMC) of the ionic liquid in the presence of gelatin.
