A method (100) for encrypting and decrypting text data. Further, the method comprising receiving plaintext input from a user via a graphical user interface (GUI). Further, the method (100) comprising the steps of selecting an encryption algorithm from a set of algorithms including a Caesar cipher and an Advanced Encryption Standard (AES). Further, the method (100) comprising the steps of applying the selected encryption algorithm to the plaintext input to generate ciphertext. Further, the method (100) comprising the steps of receiving the ciphertext input from the user for decryption and selecting the corresponding decryption algorithm. Further, the method (100) comprising the steps of applying the selected decryption algorithm to the ciphertext to recover the original plaintext and displaying it to the user via the GUI.

[0001] This invention generally relates to the field of data security and cryptography, and in particular relates to a method for encrypting and decrypting text data using multiple cryptographic algorithms, including traditional and modern techniques, to enhance the confidentiality and integrity of digital communications.

applying the selected encryption algorithm to the plaintext input to generate ciphertext;
receiving the ciphertext input from the user for decryption and selecting the corresponding decryption algorithm; and
applying the selected decryption algorithm to the ciphertext to recover the original plaintext and displaying it to the user via the GUI.
2. The method (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the graphical user interface (GUI) includes error handling mechanisms to validate user inputs before processing the encryption and decryption operations.
