Abstract

ABSTRACT A method (100) for detecting unauthorized access in a residential or commercial premises. Further, the method comprising receiving input signals from a passive infrared (PIR) sensor detecting motion within a predefined range. Further, the method (100) comprising the steps of measuring the distance between the ultrasonic sensor and any object to identify potential intrusions. Further, the method (100) comprising the steps of sending alert notifications to a user’s mobile device via a GSM module upon detecting motion or unauthorized access. Further, the method (100) comprising the steps of activating an alarm mechanism in response to signals received from the PIR sensor or ultrasonic sensor indicating a potential intrusion, while allowing remote monitoring and control through a user interface on a mobile application for real-time alerts and system status updates.

Specification

Description:FIELD OF THE DISCLOSURE
[0001] This invention generally relates to the field of home security systems and, in particular, relates to an IoT-based method for detecting unauthorized access to residential and commercial premises using a combination of passive infrared (PIR) sensors, ultrasonic sensors, and GSM communication technology to enhance user safety and enable real-time monitoring.
BACKGROUND
[0002] The subject matter discussed in the background section should not be assumed to be prior art merely as a result of its mention in the background section. Similarly, a problem mentioned in the background section or associated with the subject matter of the background section should not be assumed to have been previously recognized in the prior art. The subject matter in the background section merely represents different approaches, which in and of themselves may also correspond to implementations of the claimed technology.
[0003] In recent years, the need for enhanced security measures in both residential a , Claims:1. A method (100) for detecting unauthorized access in a residential or commercial premises, the method comprising the steps of:
receiving input signals from a passive infrared (PIR) sensor detecting motion within a predefined range;
measuring the distance between the ultrasonic sensor and any object to identify potential intrusions;
sending alert notifications to a user's mobile device via a GSM module upon detecting motion or unauthorized access; and
activating an alarm mechanism in response to signals received from the PIR sensor or ultrasonic sensor indicating a potential intrusion, while allowing remote monitoring and control through a user interface on a mobile application for real-time alerts and system status updates.

2. The method (100) as claimed in claim 1, further comprising the step of configuring the user interface to allow the user to customize alert settings and monitor sensor status in real-time.
