counting the number of individuals entering and exiting the designated area based on their movement across a predefined boundary; and
providing real-time occupancy status based on the counted individuals.

The method (100) as claimed in claim 1, further comprising performing image pre-processing on the captured video frames, including converting the frames to grayscale, applying Gaussian blurring, and calculating the absolute difference between the current frame and a background frame to enhance the accuracy of the detection process.
