Specification

Description:FIELD OF THE DISCLOSURE
[0001] This invention generally relates to methods for environmental management, and more specifically, to a method for constructing wetlands designed to treat secondary effluent, promoting water quality improvement and ecological sustainability.
BACKGROUND

[0002] The subject matter discussed in the background section should not be assumed to be prior art merely as a result of its mention in the background section. Similarly, a problem mentioned in the background section or associated with the subject matter of the background section should not be assumed to have been previously recognized in the prior art. The subject matter in the background section merely represents different approaches, which in and of themselves may also correspond to implementations of the claimed technology.
[0003] Conventional wastewater treatment plants typically involve mechanical and chemical processes to treat effluent. While these methods effectively remove contaminants, they often involve high operati , Claims:1. A method (100) for constructing wetlands designed to treat secondary effluent, the method (100) comprising:
selecting an appropriate site;
designing the wetland layout;
selecting and planting appropriate vegetation;
constructing the wetland structure; and
monitoring and maintaining the wetland to ensure optimal performance.

2. The method (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the designing of the wetland layout includes determining the size, shape, and configuration of the wetland to maximize treatment efficiency.

3. The method (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the selecting and planting of vegetation includes choosing plant species that can effectively remove pollutants from the effluent through natural processes.
