Further, the method (100) comprising the steps of verifying access by comparing the encrypted features of a subsequently captured biometric sample against the stored encrypted features in the database, and granting or denying access based on the comparison result.

[0001] This invention generally relates to the field of biometric authentication systems and, in particular, to a method for enhancing access control security through the use of advanced fingerprint recognition techniques integrated with Internet of Things (IoT) technology, aimed at providing reliable and efficient user identification while minimizing unauthorized access.
BACKGROUND

[0003] The increasing demand for secure access control systems has led to th , Claims:1. A method (100) for biometric authentication for access control, the method comprising the steps of:
capturing a biometric sample from a user using a biometric sensor;
processing the captured biometric sample to extract unique features;
encrypting the extracted features using an encryption algorithm;
storing the encrypted features in a secure database; and
verifying access by comparing the encrypted features of a subsequently captured biometric sample against the stored encrypted features in the database, and granting or denying access based on the comparison result.
2. The method (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the encryption algorithm is the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) with a key length of 256 bits, providing enhanced security for the stored biometric features.
