Abstract
ABSTRACT A method (100) for automatically repairing punctures in vehicle tires. Further, the method comprising mounting a vehicle tire onto a stationary tire frame connected to a rotary shaft powered by a motor. Further, the method (100) comprising the steps of rotating the tire while utilizing an infrared (IR) proximity sensor to detect punctures as the tire rotates. Further, the method (100) comprising the steps of sending a signal from the IR proximity sensor to a microcontroller upon detection of a puncture. Further, the method (100) comprising the steps of stopping the rotation of the tire and activating a servo motor connected to a puncture repair tool to insert a repair plug into the detected puncture. Further, the method (100) comprising the steps of utilizing a puncture repair kit integrated with the repair tool to ensure an airtight seal at the puncture location.

Specification
Description:
FIELD OF THE DISCLOSURE
[0001] This invention generally relates to the field of automated vehicle maintenance systems and, in particular, to a method for developing an automatic puncture repair system for four-wheel vehicles that enhances road safety and driver convenience by utilizing advanced sensors and robotic technology to autonomously detect and repair tire punctures.
BACKGROUND
[0002] The subject matter discussed in the background section should not be assumed to be prior art merely as a result of its mention in the background section. Similarly, a problem mentioned in the background section or associated with the subject matter of the background section should not be assumed to have been previously recognized in the prior art. The subject matter in the background section merely represents different approaches, which in and of themselves may also correspond to implementations of the claimed technology.
[0003] The maintenance of vehicle tires is crucial for ensuring safety and performance on the roa , Claims:1. A method (100) for automatically repairing punctures in vehicle tires, the method comprising the steps of:
mounting a vehicle tire onto a stationary tire frame connected to a rotary shaft powered by a motor;
rotating the tire while utilizing an infrared (IR) proximity sensor to detect punctures as the tire rotates;
sending a signal from the IR proximity sensor to a microcontroller upon detection of a puncture;
stopping the rotation of the tire and activating a servo motor connected to a puncture repair tool to insert a repair plug into the detected puncture; and
utilizing a puncture repair kit integrated with the repair tool to ensure an airtight seal at the puncture location.
2. The method (100) as claimed in claim 1, the further comprising the step of providing a user interface that displays the operational status of the system and alerts the operator when a puncture is detected.
