METHOD AND DEVICE TO PROVIDE A RELAY FOR USE IN WIRELESS CONFIGURATION

Abstract

There is disclosed a relay device, the relay device being arranged to cooperate with a Configurator according to a configuration protocol that enables to configure wireless networks and at least one wireless communication device to associate with a wireless network, the configuration protocol using the wired and/or wireless network connection, the relay device being arranged to communicate with the at least one wireless communication device, via a transceiver, according to a wireless communication protocol, the relay device comprising a processor arranged -to provide to the Configurator, via the configuration connection an indication of a configuration of the transceiver. A Configurator device may receive the indication of the configuration and perform, based on the indication and information concerning an Enrollee device, one or both of a selection of a suitable relay or issuing a command to the relay device to change the configuration of the transceiver.
