Description:FIELD OF THE INVENTION

[0001] The present invention relates to a massaging device that is capable of determining position of a user's body to dispense massage oil onto the body of the user in order to provide massaging experience to the user in an automated manner.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0002] Massage has been recognized as a beneficial practice for individuals of all ages, including toddlers. The use of massaging tools specifically designed for toddlers has gained popularity in recent years due to increasing awareness of the positive effects of massage on physical and emotional well-being of people. Traditional massaging tools for people are smooth gemstone rollers that are used for people massages these rollers, often made of materials like jade or quartz, are rolled gently over the skin.

[0003] Although the traditional method of manually massaging to people using smooth gemstone rollers has proven effective to some extent, but it comes with inherent limitations. They may not always adhere to modern safety standards. Items such as wooden rollers, gemstone rollers, or fabric bundles may pose a risk if they have small parts that can be a choking hazard. Herbal infusions or oils used in traditional massages may contain ingredients triggers allergies or skin sensitivities in some people. Thus, there is a need to develop an innovative tool that provide a more time-efficient and consistent way of massaging to people where traditional methods may fall short and to meet the evolving demands of modern requirements

[0004] US4559929A discloses a massage device in the form of a resilient pillow having a cavity therein with at least two spaced vibrator units disposed within the cavity which when activated create a vibratory massaging effect throughout the pillow. Although US'929 discloses a massage device that is capable of providing vibratory massaging effect. However, the above-mentioned invention lacks in determining the position of the user's body to dispense massage oil onto the body of the user in order to provide massaging experience to the user.

[0005] CN1984629A discloses the present invention relates to a set of hand-held massaging devices suitable for use in performing various Swedish massage movements for an all-over body massage. The device is designed such that a user can self-massage or a user can assist or perform a massage on a person in need of Swedish or Aromatherapy massage treatment. Though in CN'629 discloses about the methods for one group of hand-held be used for human body is carried out the " device of the whole body massage of toe from top to bottom. However, the above-mentioned invention does not focus on initiating the massage in order to provide personalized massage to user's preferences.

[0006] Conventionally, many devices exist that are capable of providing massage to people in a secure manner, however they fail in determining the position of the user's body to dispense massage oil onto the body of the user in order to provide massaging experience to the user without any manual intervention from user.

[0007] In order to overcome the aforementioned drawbacks, there exists a need in the art to develop a device that is capable of massaging by applying a proper reciprocating movement and applying lubricant. Additionally, the device should be potent enough of receiving an audio command from the user regarding initiating the massage in order to provide personalized massage as per user's preferences.

OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION

[0008] The principal object of the present invention is to overcome the disadvantages of the prior art.

[0009] An object of the present invention is to develop a device that is capable of determining the position of the user's body to dispense massage oil onto the body of the user in order to provide massaging experience to the user.

[0010] Another object of the present invention is to develop a device that is capable of receiving an audio command from the user regarding initiating the massage in order to provide personalized massage to user's preferences for more enjoyable experience.

[0011] Yet another object of the present invention is to develop a device that is reliable in nature.

[0012] The foregoing and other objects, features, and advantages of the present invention will become readily apparent upon further review of the following detailed description of the preferred embodiment as illustrated in the accompanying drawings.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0013] The present invention relates to a massaging device that is capable of determining the position of the user's body to dispense massage oil onto the body of the user in order to provide massaging experience to the user in a self-sufficient manner.

[0014] According to an embodiment of the present invention, a massaging device comprises of a rectangular platform having a cushioned layer on an upper surface of the platform for a comfortable laying of a user, platform is composed of a rectangular torso portion and a rectangular limb portion for enabling an inclining of user's body, a rigid inverted C-shaped frame attached above a length of the platform, a nozzle attached to a telescopic rod on sliding unit, connected with iris hole via a conduit for dispensing a massage oil in oil tank onto body of user, a telescopic arm having a foam rolling assembly at the end for a massaging of the body of the user, a vibration unit configured with a rubberized oval flap for imparting a vibrating massage to the user.

[0015] According to another embodiment of the present invention, the proposed device further comprises a cam and slider mechanism, with a gripper attached on the cam disposed at a lower end of the frame for massaging feet of the user, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit installed on the frame to determine a position of the user's body, a microphone for receiving an audio command from the user regarding initiating a massage, a touch-enabled display to provide touch input regarding initiating the massage and a battery associated with the device for powering up electrical and electronically operated components associated with the device.

[0022] Referring to Figure 1, an isometric view of a massaging device is illustrated comprising a rectangular platform 101 for comfortable laying of user, a rectangular torso portion 102 and a rectangular limb portion 103 attached with each other by a hinge 104, a C-shaped frame 105 attached above the platform 101, an oil tank 106 having an iris hole 107 attached to a primary sliding unit disposed on the frame, a nozzle 108 attached to a telescopic rod on the sliding unit, a telescopic arm 109 having a foam rolling assembly 110 attached with a secondary sliding unit disposed on the frame 105, a circular ring having a pair of motorized rollers 111 attached to the circular ring, a rubberized oval flap 112 configured with a vibration unit 113 attached to an L-shaped telescopic link 114 provided on a motorized slider 115 on the frame 105, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 116 configured on the frame 105, a microphone 117 provided on the platform 101, a touch-enabled display 118 assembled on the platform 101, a cam and slider mechanism 119 is assembled with a gripper 120 present at lower end of the frame 105.

[0023] The proposed device includes a rectangular platform 101 is having a cushioned layer on an upper surface of the platform 101 for comfortable laying of user. The platform 101 made up of any durable material that includes but not limited to metallic material and wooden material that sustains loads and bear of components associated with the device to operate accordingly in convenient manner. The platform 101 is composed of a rectangular torso portion 102 and a rectangular limb portion 103 attached with each other by a hinge 104, enabling an inclining of the user's body.

An oil tank 106 having an iris hole 107 attached to a primary sliding unit disposed on the frame 105 The sliding unit comprises of a rail unit that provides a guided path for linear movement. The rail unit usually includes a pair of parallel rails or tracks, along which the sliding unit moves. The slider carriage, also called a stage or platform 101 equipped with a mechanism to minimize friction and ensure smooth motion. This involves the use of ball bearings.

[0025] The sliding unit incorporates a motor and a drive mechanism to generate linear motion. The motor is connected to a drive mechanism, such as a belt, lead screw, or ball screw. The drive mechanism converts the rotational motion of the motor into linear motion, propelling the slider carriage along the rail unit to translate the plate. Simultaneously, the microcontroller actuates the plate or applying pressure over the plate. The plate is equipped with the pneumatic unit that is activated by the microcontroller to translate the oil tank 106 having an iris hole 107 to be disposed on the member.

[0026] Further, a nozzle 108 is attached to a telescopic rod on the sliding unit, connected with the iris hole 107 via a conduit for dispensing a massage oil in the oil tank 106 onto the body of the user. The nozzle 108 herein includes solenoids, piezoelectric actuators or motor-driven mechanisms that converts electrical signals into mechanical motion. The nozzle 108 is controlled by a control unit that sends electrical signals to the actuation mechanism. The control unit includes a pulse width modulation (PWM) or analog voltage control. The primary function of the nozzle 108 is to control the opening and closing of the nozzle's orifice or aperture. Upon receiving the appropriate electrical signal by the actuation mechanism, it initiates the motion that opens or closes the nozzle 108. This action controls the flow of the solution through the nozzle 108. The nozzle 108 allows precise control over the flow rate and direction of the solution. By modulating the actuation mechanism according to the desired parameters, the nozzle 108 is capable for dispensing massage oil from the oil tank 106 onto the body of the user.

[0027] A telescopic arm 109 is having a foam rolling assembly 110 at the end, attached with a secondary sliding unit disposed on the frame for massaging the body of the user. The arm 109 comprises of a shoulder, elbow and wrist. All these parts are configured with the microcontroller. The elbow is at the middle section of the arm 109 that allows the upper part of the arm 109 to move the lower section independently. Lastly, the wrist is at the tip of the upper arm 109 and the cloth attached to the end effector works as hand for massaging of the body of the user.

[0028] Then, foam rolling assembly 110 comprises a circular ring 110 having a pair of motorized rollers 111 with foam coating attached to the circular ring 110 by ball and socket joints. The roller comprises a disc coupled with a motor via a shaft wherein upon receiving the command from the microcontroller by the motor, the motor starts to rotate in clockwise or anti-clockwise direction in order to provide movement to the disc via the shaft. The disc thus provides a maximum level of assistance to the user and also allow the user to maintain a steady speed while moving the body. Further this is actuated by the microcontroller to rotate for
tightening/loosening a looped strap coiled on the roller in order to maneuver
from the first opening towards the second opening, thus resulting in massaging of the body of the user.

[0029] Simultaneously, a rubberized oval flap 112 is configured with a vibration unit 113, attached to an L-shaped telescopic link 114 provided on a motorized slider 115 on the frame 105 for imparting a vibrating massage to the user. The vibration unit 113 is by converting electrical energy into mechanical energy which causes the unit to vibrate. The unit comprises of a motor, eccentric weight and shaft, as the microcontroller directs the motor the shaft rotates which in turn rotates the weight. The rotation of weigh creates the unbalanced forces which leads in vibration of the unit resulting in the providing vibrational massage to the user. After imparting the vibrating massage to the user, a cam and slider mechanism 119, with a gripper 120 attached on the cam, disposed at a lower end of the frame 105 in close to the limb portion 103 of the platform 101 for massaging feet of the user. The cam and slider mechanism 119 comprises a cam, which is a rotating or oscillating element, and a slider, which moves in a linear motion along a predefined path. As the cam rotates or oscillates, its irregular shape or profile interacts with the slider for massaging the feet of the user.

[0030] An artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 116 is configured on the frame 105 and integrated with a processor for recording and processing images in a vicinity of the frame 105 to determine a position of the user's body. The imaging unit 116 comprises of a camera and processor that works in collaboration to detect position of the user's body. The AI (artificial intelligence) protocols encrypted with the processor linked with the imaging unit 116 to enhance its functionality and capabilities.

[0031] The AI protocols are used to process and analyses the images captured by the camera enabling it to perform various tasks beyond traditional image capturing. The AI analysis is performed locally on the camera itself and the real-time processing on the camera enables immediate responses and faster decision-making. The camera, herein captures images of the surroundings with the help of specialized lenses designed to capture high-quality visuals. The captured data is now pre-processed via the processor to enhance its quality and prepare it for AI analysis. This pre-processing involves tasks such as noise reduction, image stabilization, or color correction. The processed data is fed into AI protocols for analysis which utilizes machine learning techniques, such as deep learning neural networks, to extract meaningful information present in the images. The camera is capable of analysing the surroundings and providing real-time updates or alerts about the surroundings based on predefined rules or criteria. Herein, based on extraction of the data from the captured images, the microcontroller linked with the imaging unit 116 detects position of the user's body.

[0032] Simultaneously, a microphone 117 is linked with the microcontroller is provided on the platform 101 for receiving an audio command from the user regarding initiating a massage to trigger the microcontroller to imaging unit 116 to determine the position of the user's body. The microphone 117 receives sound waves generated by energy emitted from the voice command in the form of vibrations. After then, the sound waves are transmitted towards a diaphragm configured with a coil. Upon transmitting the waves within the diaphragm, the diaphragm strikes with the waves due to which the coil starts moving the diaphragm with a back-and-forth movement in presence of magnetic field generated from the coil. After that the electric signal is emitted from the coil due to back-and-forth movement of the diaphragm which is further transmitted to a microcontroller linked with the microphone 117 to process the signal to analyze the signal for receiving an audio command from the user regarding initiating a massage.

[0033] A wireless communication module is linked with the microcontroller is provided on the platform 101 for enabling the user to remotely trigger the microcontroller, by connecting with a computing unit to dispense the oil on the body. The computing unit herein includes but not limited to a mobile and laptop that comprises a processor where the input received is stored to process and retrieve the output data in order to display in the computing unit. The microcontroller is wirelessly linked with the computing unit via a communication module which includes but not limited to Wi-Fi (Wireless Fidelity) module, Bluetooth module. GSM (Global System for Mobile communication). The communication module acts as a medium between various electronic unit for establishing communication between the computing unit and device to process the input.

[0034] After that, a touch-enabled display 118 is assembled with the microcontroller, is provided on the platform 101 for enabling the user to provide touch input regarding initiating the massage. The touch-enabled display 118 as mentioned herein is typically an LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) screen that presents output in a visible form. The screen is equipped with touch-sensitive technology, allowing the user to interact directly with the display using their fingers. A touch controller IC (Integrated Circuit) is responsible for processing the analog signals generated when the user inputs details regarding initiating the massage. A touch controller is typically connected to the microcontroller through various interfaces which may include but are not limited to SPI (Serial Peripheral Interface) or I2C (Inter-Integrated Circuit).

[0035] Lastly, a battery is installed within the device which is connected to the microcontroller that supplies current to all the electrically powered components that needs an amount of electric power to perform their functions and operation in an efficient manner. The battery utilized here, is generally a dry battery which is made up of Lithium-ion material that gives the device a long-lasting as well as an efficient DC (Direct Current) current which helps every component to function properly in an efficient manner. As the device is battery operated and do not need any electrical voltage for functioning. Hence the presence of battery leads to the
portability of the device i.e., user is able to place as well as moves the device from one place to another as per the requirement.

[0036] The present invention works best in the following manner, where the rectangular platform 101 is having the cushioned layer for comfortable laying of the user. The platform 101 is composed of the rectangular torso portion 102 and the rectangular limb portion 103 attached with each other by the hinge 104, enabling the inclining of the user's body. Then, the rigid inverted C-shaped frame 105 is attached above the length of the platform 101. The oil tank 106 having the iris hole 107 attached to the primary sliding unit disposed on the member. Further, the nozzle 108 is attached to the telescopic rod on the sliding unit is connected with the iris hole 107 via the conduit for dispensing the massage oil in the oil tank 106 onto the body of the user. Then, the telescopic arm 109 is having the foam rolling assembly 110 for massaging of the body of the user. Further, the foam rolling assembly 110 comprises the circular ring 110 having the pair of motorized rollers 111 with foam coating attached to the circular ring 110 by ball and socket joints. Simultaneously, the rubberized oval flap 112 is configured with the vibration unit 113, attached to the L-shaped telescopic link 114 for imparting the vibrating massage to the user. After imparting the vibrating massage to the user, the cam and slider mechanism 119 is arranged with the gripper 120 for massaging the feet of the user. Then, the artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 116 for recording and processing images in the vicinity of the frame 105 to determine the position of the user's body. Simultaneously, the microphone 117 to determine the position of the user's body. The wireless communication module for enabling the user to dispense the oil on the body. After that, the touch-enabled display 118 for enabling the user to provide touch input regarding initiating the massage.

[0037] Although the field of the invention has been described herein with limited reference to specific embodiments, this description is not meant to be construed in a limiting sense. Various modifications of the disclosed embodiments, as well as alternate embodiments of the invention, will become apparent to persons skilled in the art upon reference to the description of the invention. , Claims:1) A massaging device, comprising:

i) a rectangular platform 101 having a cushioned layer on an upper surface of said platform 101 for a comfortable laying of a user, wherein said platform 101 is composed of a rectangular torso portion 102 and a rectangular limb portion 103 attached with each other by a hinge 104, enabling an inclining of said user's body while laying on said platform 101;
ii) a rigid inverted C-shaped frame 105 attached over said platform 101, an oil tank 106 having an iris hole 107 attached to a primary sliding unit disposed on said frame 105, wherein a nozzle 108, attached to a telescopic rod mounted on said sliding unit, connected with said iris hole 107 via a conduit for dispensing a massage oil in said oil tank 106 onto said body of said user;
iii) a telescopic arm 109 having a foam rolling assembly 110 at the end, attached with a secondary sliding unit disposed on said frame 105 for a massaging of said body of said user;
iv) a rubberized oval flap 112 configured with a vibration unit 113, attached to an L-shaped telescopic link 114 provided on a motorized slider 115 on said frame 105 for imparting a vibrating massage to said user;
v) a cam and slider mechanism 119, with a gripper 120 attached on said cam, disposed at a lower end of said frame 105 in close to said limb portion 103 of said platform 101 for massaging feet of said user; and
vi) an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 116 , installed on said frame 105 and integrated with a processor for recording and processing images in a vicinity of said frame 105, to determine a position of said user's body to trigger said microcontroller to accordingly actuate said primary sliding unit and said iris hole 107 to dispense said oil on said body and actuate said telescopic arm 109 on said secondary sliding unit, said telescopic link 114 with said vibration unit 113 and said cam and slider mechanism 119 with said gripper 120 to massage said user.

2) The device as claimed in claim 1, wherein said foam rolling assembly 110 comprises a circular ring 110 having a pair of motorized rollers 111 with foam coating attached to said circular ring 110 by ball and socket joints.

3) The device as claimed in claim 1, wherein a microphone 117, linked with said microcontroller, provided on said platform 101 for receiving an audio command from said user regarding initiating a massage to trigger said microcontroller to imaging unit 116 to determine said position of said user's body to actuate said primary sliding unit and said iris hole 107 to dispense said oil on said body and actuate said telescopic arm 109 on said secondary sliding unit, said telescopic link 114 with said vibration unit 113 and said cam and slider mechanism 119 with said gripper 120 to massage said user.

4) The device as claimed in claim 1, wherein a wireless communication module, linked with said microcontroller, is provided on said platform 101 for enabling said user to remotely trigger said microcontroller, by connecting with a computing unit, to actuate said primary sliding unit and said iris hole 107 to dispense said oil on said body and actuate said telescopic arm 109 on said secondary sliding unit, said telescopic link 114 with said vibration unit 113 and said cam and slider mechanism 119 with said gripper 120 to massage said user.

5) The device as claimed in claim 1, wherein a touch-enabled display 118, linked with said microcontroller, is provided on said platform 101 for enabling said user to provide touch input regarding initiating said massage, to actuate said primary sliding unit and said iris hole 107 to dispense said oil on said body and actuate said telescopic arm 109 on said secondary sliding unit, said telescopic link 114 with said vibration unit 113 and said cam and slider mechanism 119 with said gripper 120 to massage said user.

6) The device as claimed in claim 1, wherein a battery is associated with said device for powering up electrical and electronically operated components associated with said device.
