Specification

Description:FIELD OF THE DISCLOSURE
[0001] This invention generally relates to a machine learning based assistive system and in particular relates to a machine learning based assistive system for cognitive and mentally disabled.
BACKGROUND

[0002] The subject matter discussed in the background section should not be assumed to be prior art merely as a result of its mention in the background section. Similarly, a problem mentioned in the background section or associated with the subject matter of the background section should not be assumed to have been previously recognized in the prior art. The subject matter in the background section merely represents different approaches, which in and of themselves may also correspond to implementations of the claimed technology.
[0003] Individuals with cognitive and mental disabilities face unique challenges in daily life. Existing assistive technologies, such as handheld devices, wearables, and portable electronic gadgets, provide some support but lack personalized, adaptive respo , Claims:1. A machine learning based assistive system (100) for cognitive and mentally disabled, the system (100) comprising:
a user interface (102) for collecting data from a user and updating the data real time based on one or more requirements of the user;
an emotion recognition module (104) communicatively coupled to the user interface (102) for analysing the data to obtain emotional state of the user and refine one or more responses based at least on the emotional state of the user;
at least one memory (106) coupled to the at least one feature extraction module (104) for storing and updating the data and the one or more responses in real time; and
at least one processor (108) communicatively coupled to the at least one memory (106) and the emotion recognition module (104), wherein the at least one processor (108) is configured to display one or more recommendations to the user based at least on the one or more responses.
2. The machine learning based assistive system (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the one o
