LEAD HOLDING MECHANICAL PENCIL
TECHNICAL FIELD
The present invention relates to the field of stationary and its easy handling methodology. More specifically, the present invention related to upgrading the current stationary tip pencil to more effective and attractive to utilize in eco-friendly manner.
BACKGROUND
It is a creative innovation for mechanical lead holding pencil where it will be user friendly that we don't want to carry a tip box along with pencil. Generally, it is difficult to carry a tip box always because we may forget it or we may miss it and sometimes the tip box automatically opens and falls down and the tip gets break when taking out in hand or sometimes tip box is not allowed in exam hall.
Our invention is better solution for the problems mentioned above. This invention is an alternative for a normal mechanical pencil. In normal mechanical pencil the tip box will not be attached with the pencil so we always want to carry them separately, sometimes we may forget them to carry and seek help from others when needed, if they didn't have the same type of leads, we will be helpless but in our invention the tip is already inserted into the pencil so we don't have any worries.
And there is the possibilities of keeping the lead box outside the mechanical pencil , if we keep the lead box outside the pencil means it will get break sometimes or it will disturb during writing or drawing, we have analysed all the drawbacks and we have introduces the new lead holding mechanical pencil which is more useful to students and artists, and even the small students can also use this pencil without others help, our invention is better solution for time saving and fast writing or drawing.
We have analysed that the carrying of the lead box is the major problem, so we decided to rectify the problem , for that we have two idea one is the lead box is attached with it in that process if the lead box is attached with that means there will be some issue like the tip box may break or it may disturb while writing then we invent the other idea, that is to keep the lead box as inbuilt, we don't want to the lead box alone with it and there is lot of benefit of this invention, there will many tips inside the mechanical pencil and we can refill the once in a while, and this invention is better solution for students and artists, it won't disturb while writing and it is easy to carry and travel friendly then it is made of recyclable plastic so there will no pollution so it will be ecofriendly.
The thin lead used in tip pencils that is with fine tips like 0.5mm or 0.3mm is more prone to breaking, especially when too much pressure is applied or if it is dropped. normal pencils that can be sharpened multiple times, tip pencils require new leads to be inserted once the current one is used up which may be time consuming but our product will be a great solution to all these problems.
The main reason for the invention of our product to reduce the work of students and those who uses mechanical pencils. our idea is to use mostly 0.7 tip because it is somewhat thicker to write than 0.5 and 0.3 tip.
Some tip pencils may have smaller grips, which may not be comfortable for long period of writing or drawing. but in our product the grip is designed to be super grip to write that definitely gives a comfort than other mechanical pencils. our product is user-friendly, student-friendly and easy for every age of people.
While the mechanical pencil itself might be affordable, buying the leads and erasers to keep it running can add up. How about a pencil with all these features along? Yes, our product is the only solution to reduce the cost of buying lead box and erasers separately.
Like wooden pencil, this lead holding mechanical pencil is safe to use, eco-friendly, and safe to nature.
OBJECTIVE OF INVENTION
The basic objective of the present invention is no need of inserting leads frequently and carry them separately.
There are other objectives and advantages towards the present invention that will become readily apparent to give a product which is student friendly.
Another object of the invention is to reduce the time consumption of the mechanical pencil while refilling the lead.
Another object of the invention that we propose is to reduce the work and fear of the student while writing about the refilling of the leads when it is over.
Yet another object of the present invention is to improve the efficiency/productivity of lead holding mechanical pencil.
These and other objects and advantages of the present invention will become readily apparent from the following detailed description taken in conjunction drawings.
SUMMARY
An inbuilt tip in a mechanical pencil refers to a built-in mechanism that allows precise control of the pencils lead exposure.
This feature typically involves.
A retractable or adjustable tip that protects the lead when not in use and can extended to expose the lead for drawing or writing. This design helps in maintaining the pencil's precision, prevents lead breakage, and ensures a consistent writing or drawing experience.
Reducing the need for manual adjustments.
Convenience: No need to carry a separate sharpener or replacement tips.
Space-saving: The design is compact. This design helps in maintaining the pencil's precision centre of a technical pencil, often referred to as a "retractable lead sleeve" or "auto-advance mechanism," serves a dual purpose. It allows for precise lead extension and retraction to prevent breakage and ensures a consistent writing or drawing experience. This mechanism helps maintain the sharpness of the pencil's lead, providing accuracy and portable.
Ergonomics: The outer casing can be designed for comfortable grip and control.
Economic: Once we buy the product it will be long lasting. No need to buy a new pencil only refilling of the lead is needed that is also once in a while.
In reality, it feels a bit difficult to use a mechanical pencil as we want to put tip again and again. mainly for kids, and even at the time critical situations for example during the exam timing the refilling is hard to do. They feel difficulty in handling the tip since it is very thinner, it may break while taking out from the separate tip box.
Even lead may be attached out of the pencil but the difficulty remains the same, the lead box may disturb while writing, but in our innovation the lead box is inbuilt within the shaft of pencil which is a great advantage of our innovation.
Moreover, we conducted a survey among the students about the difficulty of using a mechanical pencil, in that 70% of the students told it feels a bit difficult to refill tip frequently along with a separate tip box. This survey concludes that lead boxes are the main problem that is the reason of lead holding tip pencil. We tackled this problem in our innovation.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWING
The other objects, features and advantages will occur to those skilled in the art from the following description of the preferred embodiment and the accompanying drawings in which:
Fig 1 illustrates the schematic representation of the lead holding mechanical pencil, according to an embodiment of the present invention.
Although the specific features of the present invention are shown in some drawings and not in others. This is done for convenience only as each feature may be combined with any or all of the other features in accordance with the present invention.
List of reference numerals used in detailed description and drawings:
1)Inbuilt lead holder: Multiple tips are stored in a holder which is inbuilt within the pencil at its bottom. It is an ultimate mechanism which is only available in this pencil. We can store number of leads without any damage. It will be more helpful to the student and artist.
2)Push Button: Located at the top or side of the pencil, this is used to advance or retract the lead. In some pencils, this button is also used to eject or refill the lead. The push button in a mechanical pencil, is a mechanism that advances the lead incrementally. When you press the button, it pushes a small internal rod or spring-loaded system connected to the lead, moving it forward through the tip. This allows the lead to advance in small increments so you can write without manually adjusting or sharpening the pencil.
3)Lead Sleeve: The part of the pencil that extends out when you click the mechanism to advance the lead. It guides the lead to the writing surface and protects it from breaking. Its main functions include stabilizing the lead, protecting it from breaking, and providing a clear, precise line by ensuring the lead remains aligned with the tip.
4)Lead Tube: The inner tube that holds and guides the lead through the barrel. It often has a slightly larger diameter than the lead to ensure smooth movement. it's positioned inside the pencil body and holds multiple sticks of lead. Protect the leads from breakage, especially during transport.
5)Barrel: The main body of the pencil that houses most of the internal components and provides the grip for the user. It is often made from plastic, metal, or a combination of materials. Some barrels include a dedicated grip section, often with rubber or textured patterns, to enhance comfort and reduce hand fatigue during extended use.
6)Cone: The point that contacts the paper, it is a part which connects the tips to the lead sleeve, it is generally conical in shape which is preferred for nice writing, wider cones are used for thicker lines. It plays a crucial role in guiding and stabilizing the lead as it's used.
7)Eraser: it is integrated into the pencil body it is rubber material soft and gentil on paper, effective at removing graphite marks. We should clean the eraser regularly to maintain the eraser also we can replace it when worn down.
8)Dispenser: Here we are using two dispenser one is used to pull up the lead from bottom of pencil to top of the pencil. Another is the internal mechanism responsible for advancing and releasing the lead when the button or push mechanism is pressed. It works in conjunction with the lead tube to feed a small amount of lead through the cone, allowing you to write without manually adjusting the lead length.
9)Lead: There will be a 0.7 tip. It is easy to erase and versatile for various paper types and less breakage compare to 0.5, it offers balance between line width and precision. We can use various lead in this pencil according to the size of the silicon cone. Unlike traditional pencil lead, it doesn't need sharpening, making mechanical pencils convenient for consistent fine lines.
Mechanical pencil leads come in various thicknesses, measured in mm.
10)Silicon cone: it is located at bottom of the dispenser; it securely receives the tip or lead. Which plays the important role in the pencil which smoothen the lead and allow it to the dispenser, this helps to overcome the breakage of the lead while moving from bottom to top of the lead holding mechanical pencil.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION
A mechanical pencil is a writing instrument that has a solid, replaceable, and extendable core called "lead". The lead is often made of graphite and is not bonded to the pencil's outer casing, which allows the user to extend it mechanically as the point wears down. This design eliminates the need for sharpening and has earned mechanical pencils many names, including: microtip pencils, automatic pencils, drafting pencils, propelling pencils, and clutch pencils.
It's not a bad idea to start with thinking about what you're likely to use the pencil for. If it's mostly going to be for writing, you're probably going to look for different features to someone who will use their pencil for sketching.
If your writing includes the sort of notes where you sometimes just can't stop scribbling, like taking down lecture notes or meeting minutes, you might want to consider pencils that make it easier to feed more lead in a rush, with shaker mechanisms or side buttons. Auto-feed pencils can work well, too, keeping the lead usable at as you keep going.
If the pencil is going to live in a pencil pot on your desk, it won't matter much to you if it isn't pocket safe. If you're going to be sketching out and about, though, it can be very important. Conical tips aren't usually too risky anyway, but tubular tips can be a bit too sharp to want them in your pocket if they don't retract. For quick and easy retracting, a 'double-knock' mechanism helps - the mechanism is retracted with either a side button or a firmer push of the end button. Others may need you to push the tip in against something while holding the button down.
If the eraser is important to you, you'll need to make sure it's a good size, probably of the extendable type. These usually twist up and down to expose more eraser as needed, usually with the added bonus that you can twist it back down out of the way when pocketing the pencil.
Mechanical pencils can have a surprising variety of features. If you think the number of possible features to consider is a bit much when you're trying to choose which pencil to buy, just imagine how it is for someone who has to write an article all about them!
The classic mechanism for feeding lead is a button on the opposite end to the tip that pushes lead forward one 'click' at a time. There's quite a complicated set of parts inside to make it all work, but it's all so tried and tested that they work very reliably, and you can usually get years of use out of even the most basic mechanical pencil.
So, why might you consider other mechanisms? Well, side-mounted buttons, shaker mechanisms and auto-feed mechanisms can all feed lead a bit
quicker. For most people's use, it's not that critical, but if you have to keep up
with lecture notes or take minutes in meetings, the time taken to click out more lead might be enough to put you behind.
They're all based on a mechanism very similar to the push-button clutch, so they're all usually very reliable. The various embodiment of the present invention discloses a lead holding mechanical pencil for school student, artist, designers and engineers for reducing the problems faced by them such as technical drawing, note-taking, sketching, design work. They are widely appreciated for the convenience of not needing sharpening, precise lead advancement and consistent line width.
The present invention is eliminating the dependency of carrying the external tip box along with the mechanical pencil. The lead holding mechanical pencil consists of inbuilt tip holder, push button, lead sleeve, lead tube, barrel, cone, eraser, eraser cap, lead, silicon cone, dispenser, dispenser ring, dispenser spring. In this mechanism we use two dispenser, two spring, at both the top and bottom of the pencil to pull up the lead.
The lead holding mechanical pencil that extracts lead from the lead holder through the dispenser for the smooth retraction of the lead as needed. We placed two dispenser for extracting the lead from the bottom to the top of the pencil. Normally, a mechanical pencils are often more durable than traditional wood-case pencils but in this present invention the durability is more than the wooden and normal mechanical pencil.
In an aspect, it reducing the fatigue during extended use and having the comfortable grip. While using the separate tip box, students can lose the lead while it is not in the usage but in this invention, we can overcome from this problem by storing the multiple
Lead in the Inbuilt-holder. We can able to use the lead whenever we want without refilling the lead often. By using this technique chances of losing the lead will be reduced.
The figure, illustrate view of the lead holding mechanical pencil for students, artist, according to an embodiment of the present invention. The multiple leads are stored in the Inbuilt-holder to reduce the time lapse during the exam time. This lead holding mechanical pencil is eliminating the drawbacks of the normal mechanical pencil. This mechanism can be satisfied the need of the user.
This invention is fully made up of metal, recyclable plastic light and weighted material for covering the lead position always. If we keep the tip holder outside the mechanical pencil it will cause more disturbance while using the pencil but this invention is more comfortable to consumers. The lower dispenser control, the movement of lead one by one easily while pull up the dispenser. When a lead become disappear stage there is no need to refill externally it will refill automatically extracting the dispenser. This lead holding mechanical pencil can be used by any one or more locations.
By this mechanism the lead will be quickly replaced by the user and it will be more useful for school students because when they try to replace the lead they break it so it is very useful for them. With growing environmental concerns, there is an increasing preference for products that minimize waste. Mechanical pencils can be more sustainable over time, as they often have replaceable leads, reducing the consumption of wood.
You may have to pay a little bit more if you want a big extending eraser, say, or a quicker way of advancing the lead. Looks A cheap plastic pencil will be perfectly functional, but might not look the part in a meeting. If you're wearing a nice suit, it would be a shame to have the cheapest pencil poking out of your pocket. Your tastes might be more towards the technical or machined-metal look, but again, you'll need to invest a little more for the right look.
You probably have some idea how much you want to spend, or at least how much you're willing to spend! There are plenty of perfectly good mechanical pencils around for less than 50, but you might need to spend more to get what you want. But in our invention, we don't want to pay more money because we use the recyclable plastic or metal which is light weight and travel friendly.
A lead-holding mechanical pencil, often referred to simply as a mechanical pencil, is a type of writing instrument that uses a thin lead to write, draw, or mark surfaces. Unlike traditional wooden pencils, mechanical pencils don't require sharpening. Instead, they feature a mechanism that allows the user to advance the lead to expose more of it as needed. The lead is fed through the writing tip by a mechanism inside the pencil.
Typically, this is done by clicking a button at the top of the pencil. The mechanism is spring-loaded and moves the lead incrementally, keeping the writing point sharp and consistent. The lead used in mechanical pencils is made of graphite, similar to traditional wooden pencils, but it is encased in a thin, plastic or metal sheath that fits into the pencil.
The most common lead diameters are 0.5 mm, 0.7 mm, and 0.9 mm, though other sizes are available for specialized uses. but we prefer 0.7mm because it not like 0.5 why because the lead will be very light and not like 0.9mm why because it will be very dark so we prefer 0.7mm but we can made the pencil in all mm according to the size of the silicon cone which is placed in the middle of the pencil which plays the important role in the pencil which, smoothening the lead and allow it from bottom to top of the pencil from that the lead will be move through dispenser, dispenser is used to pull up lead from bottom to the top of the pencil.
A lead-holding mechanical pencil with an inbuilt tip box is a sophisticated writing tool designed for precision and convenience, often used by architects, artists, designers, and engineers. Unlike traditional mechanical pencils, which push the lead forward in increments, a lead-holding pencil holds a thicker lead 0.7mm in place using a clutch mechanism. The lead is released or advanced by pressing the top or side button, allowing users to adjust the lead length as needed for various line thicknesses and textures.
The lead-holding mechanism is stable and durable, reducing breakage, which is ideal for extended sketching or drafting sessions. The inbuilt tip box is a unique feature designed for added convenience. It's usually located within the body of the pencil exactly at the bottom of the pencil near the eraser. This tip box holds extra pencil tips or lead, providing users with immediate access to spare tips if one becomes blunt or worn out. This reduces the need for an external sharpener and enables quick adjustments without interrupting workflow.
The body of the pencil is generally crafted from sturdy materials like metal, high-grade plastic, or a blend of both. It may feature a textured or rubberized grip for enhanced control and comfort, allowing users to work for extended periods without discomfort.
Many models include a retractable lead sleeve or protective cap to prevent lead breakage when not in use. The lead is usually inserted into the clutch at the pencil's rear, which opens to hold extra lead sticks securely in the inbuilt storage compartment. The inbuilt storage makes it easy to carry additional leads without the need for an external case. The pencil has a balanced weight distribution to minimize hand fatigue and improve control over detailed work. Its sleek design gives it a professional, premium look, making it suitable for professionals who value precision and elegance.
A simple click at the top side button is just enough you need to advance the lead(graphite).it is also having the feature of no sharpening. this invention is refillable the lead at once and they can hold a lot of lead in the Inbuilt-holder. If you need more lead, you don't need to refill the lead the frequently.
This mechanical pencil is more adaptable than people think. They are so many features to consider when buying a mechanical pencil. one of our key criteria is a retractable multiple nib without the frequent lead inserting mechanism. choosing the right mechanical pencil involves considering factors such as lead size, grip ergonomics, and built-in-features, which contribute to user comfort and performance during various tasks such as note-taking, technical drawing, and artistic work.
This lead holding mechanical pencil provides the effective invention of the various tasks which is mentioned previously. The main difference between the normal mechanical pencil and this lead holding mechanical is the way of inserting the lead.
The normal mechanical pencil need to insert the lead frequently and also need to carry the tip box along with it whereas this invention no need to carry the tip box along with the pencil and no need of the frequent insertion. This invention versatility makes them popular among students, artists, and professionals.
This invention of lead holding mechanical pencils use different mechanisms to advance the lead, including push-button, twists, and lead inserting mechanisms. It is also an environmentally friendly option, by avoiding the tip boxes.
