ABSTRACT An IOT based soil moisture management system (100), comprising a soil moisture sensor (102) configured to measure the moisture level of soil, a weather API module (104) configured to retrieve real-time weather data and weather forecast data from an external weather service, a processor (106) configured to adjust irrigation settings based on soil moisture data, real time weather data and weather forecast data retrieved from the weather API module (104) and a communication module (108) for transmitting soil moisture data and receiving instructions from a remote device, wherein the processor (106) determines an optimal irrigation schedule based on the moisture level of soil, real-time weather data and weather forecast data.

[0001] This invention generally relates to a management system and in particular relates to an IOT based soil moisture management system.
BACKGROUND

[0003] Managing water resources efficiently in agriculture and urban landscaping is a critical challenge, particularly as climate variability and population growth place increasing demands on water supply. Traditional irrigation systems typically rely on fixed schedules, which often result in over- or under-wat , Claims:1. An IOT based soil moisture management system (100), comprising:
a soil moisture sensor (102) configured to measure the moisture level of soil;
a weather API module (104) configured to retrieve real-time weather data and weather forecast data from an external weather service;
a processor (106) configured to adjust irrigation settings based on soil moisture data, real time weather data and weather forecast data retrieved from the weather API module (104); and
a communication module (108) for transmitting soil moisture data and receiving instructions from a remote device, wherein
the processor (106) determines an optimal irrigation schedule based on the moisture level of soil, real-time weather data and weather forecast data.

2. The IOT based soil moisture management system (100) as claimed in claim 1, further comprises a user interface (110) configured to allow a user to remotely monitor soil moisture levels and adjust irrigation parameters in real time.
