An IoT-based smart parking system (100) comprising a plurality of parking sensors configured to detect the presence or absence of a vehicle in a parking space; a communication modules associated with each of said parking sensors for transmitting real-time occupancy data to a central server; a central server configured to receive and process said occupancy data, analyze parking availability, and generate real-time updates; a mobile application or web interface accessible to users, enabling the display of real-time parking availability, reservation capabilities, and navigation assistance to the available parking spaces and a payment module integrated into said application or interface for facilitating automated fee processing upon user check-out.
