Abstract

ABSTRACT An IoT-based forest fire detection system (100), the system (100) comprising: a plurality of sensors (102) configured to detect one or more parameters associated with environmental conditions within a forest; and a processor (104) communicatively coupled with the plurality of sensors (102), wherein the processor (104) is configured to: receive the one or more parameters via an IoT-based communication module, compare the one or more parameters with a threshold limit, determine the occurrence of a forest fire, and transmit an alert notification over a computing unit (106) accessed by a concerned authority.

[0001] This invention generally relates to a field of environmental monitoring systems, and in particular, to an IoT-based forest fire detection system that efficiently detects and alerts concerned authorities about potential forest fire incidents.
BACKGROUND

[0003] The increasing frequency and intensity of forest fires pose significant threats to ecosystems, wildlife, and human settlements. Traditional fire detection methods often rely on manual observatio , Claims:1. An IoT-based forest fire detection system (100), the system (100) comprising:
a plurality of sensors (102) configured to detect one or more parameters associated with environmental conditions within forest; and
a processor (104) communicatively coupled with the plurality of sensors (102), wherein the processor (104) is configured to:
receive the one or more parameters via an IoT-based communication module,
compare the one or more parameters with a threshold limit,
determine forest fire and transmit an alert notification over a computing unit (106) accessed by a concerned authority.

2. The system (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the one or more parameters includes temperature, humidity, and smoke.

3. The system (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the plurality of sensors (102) incudes a smoke sensor, fire sensor, and humidity sensor.
