The method comprises: during the running process of a first virtual character being involved in the current game task, acquiring the current location of the first virtual character in a scenario of a virtual game, wherein the first virtual character is a virtual character controlled by a client, and the current game task is a task in the virtual game; and if it is determined that the current location matches a virtual mobile device provided in the current game task, displaying a virtual projection corresponding to a second virtual character, wherein the second virtual character is a virtual character, which meets a projection condition, among virtual characters involved in the virtual game. By means of the present application, the technical problem of the display efficiency of information being relatively low is solved.
