Description:FIELD OF THE INVENTION
[0001] The present invention relates to a hand-held liquid packaged material transferring assistive device which is capable of accommodating a liquid packaged container to assist a user in transferring liquid present in the container into an auxiliary utensil/ tumbler without any spillage or wastage of the liquid and also aids in notifying the user regarding the expiry date of the container.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[0002] Nowadays, for people's benefit and ease, the liquid like juice, oil, milk and other breweries are coming in packaged container. The user required to cut the container or package first and then need to store the present liquid in an auxiliary container for further. It is also not uncommon for glutinous fluids to be stored in containers that have a narrow neck. One such example is the ketchup package which is tall and includes a neck and mouth of meager dimensions so that the user may control the serving which is to be dispensed. the transferring of liquid from these packages or container becomes difficult due to the chances of spillage. The difficulty with such containers and their contents is that they do not give up their residues easily and, as a result, the consumer will, as a rule, impatiently discard the bottle and give up on the residue. On the other hand, those to whom economy is paramount, for example, service providers such as restaurant owners, will usually try and collect these leavings because over a period of time such economies can result in appreciable savings.
[0003] Traditionally, the user transfers the liquid from a packaged container manually. The user first cuts the opening by a cutter then carefully pour the liquid in the other auxiliary vessel or in glass as the requirement is. In these methods, the user required to cut the opening carefully and then need to transfer the liquid carefully from the cut package into the container. As there are chances of spillage of the liquid. Also, due to human intervention there are sometimes problems like hygiene arises. Also, continuously transferring of liquid from the liquid packaged container into the auxiliary vessel/utensil by first cutting the package properly without overcutting and then handling the package securely causes significant problems to the user. There are many ways by which the liquid is transferred from the liquid packaged container into the auxiliary vessel/utensil without spilling and completely or according to the user's requirement.
[0004] US4271878A discloses a device for use in draining ketchup and the like from a bottle is described. The device includes an upper portion having an opening for receiving the neck of a bottle with the bottle in an inverted position. Means are provided for supporting the device in stable equilibrium on a support surface with the upper portion of the device in an elevated position in which the bottle is held clear of the support surface so that a container can be placed below the mouth of the bottle. A plurality of fingers extends inwardly of the opening in the upper portion of the device and are arranged to engage the neck of the bottle. The fingers are resiliently flexible so that they can be deflected outwardly by the bottle, whereby the fingers exert an inward biasing effect against the neck of the bottle and are capable of accommodating bottles of varying sizes. Although, US'78A discloses a device for use in draining ketchup and the like from a bottle. However, the above mentioned invention lacks in detecting expiry date of the container and accordingly notifying the user to discard the container to prevent any chances of health issues to the user. The above mentioned invention also lacks in cutting the tip of the liquid packaged container without human intervention.
[0005] US5794671A discloses a draining apparatus for collecting fluids from a container. This device consists essentially of a base and a rotational receptacle support which holds, in place, the container which is to be drained. The container is held in an inverted position and is uniquely secured for draining and can be easily released to facilitate collection and use. Though, US'71A discloses a draining apparatus for collecting fluids from a container. However, the above mentioned invention lacks in assisting the user in transferring the liquid present in a container into an auxiliary utensil/ tumbler by cutting the tip of the accommodated container. The above mentioned invention also lacks in notifying the user about the expiry date of the container and to inform the user to discard the container to prevent any chances of health issues to the user.
[0006] Conventionally, many devices available that are capable of assisting a user in transferring liquid present in packaged container into an auxiliary vessel/utensil. However, these devices fail in accommodating a liquid packaged container and accordingly assist the user in transferring the liquid present in the container into an auxiliary utensil/ tumbler by cutting the tip of the accommodated container. These devices also do not aid in properly securing and holding the container for transferring of the liquid.
[0007] In order to overcome the aforementioned drawbacks, there exists a need in the art to develop a device that is capable of accommodating and holding a liquid packaged container to assist a user in transferring liquid present in the container into an auxiliary utensil/ tumbler without any spillage or wastage of the liquid. Additionally, the proposed device also aids in accommodated container in a vertical upward direction for facilitating proper transfer of liquid any without spillage or wastage while informing the user about the expiry date of the packaged container.

[0022] The present invention relates to a hand-held liquid packaged material transferring assistive device which is capable of providing a mean to a user to accommodate a liquid packaged container for assisting the user in transferring the liquid present in the container into an auxiliary utensil/ tumbler. The proposed device further ensures no spillage or wastage of the liquid.
[0023] Referring to Figure 1 and 2, an isometric view of a hand-held liquid packaged material transferring assistive device and an inner view of body associated with the proposed device are illustrated, respectively comprising a cuboidal shaped hollow body 101 possessing multiple plates 108 developed to be handled by a user, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 105 mounted on the body 101, multiple hinge joint 103 integrated within the plates 108, multiple suction units 201 configured inside the body 101, a motorized cutting unit 104 installed on apex portion of the body 101, multiple T-shaped telescopic pushers 202 assembled on bottom portion of the body 101, a speaker 106 mounted on the body 101, an inverted U-shaped handle 102 configured on side portion of the body 101 and a motorized ball and socket joint 107 integrated in between the cutting unit 104 and body 101.
[0024] The proposed device comprises of a cuboidal shaped hollow body 101 possessing multiple plates 108 developed to be handled by a user, wherein the body 101 is crafted with an opening that allows a user for accommodation of a liquid packaged container. The body 101 is made up of material not restricted to wood, metal etc. that provides durability to the components and comfortably accommodate all the components required to perform the specified operation.
[0025] Upon positioning the body 101, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 105 mounted on the body 101 and integrated with a processor for capturing and processing images of the surroundings of the body 101 to determine shape of the container. The artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 105 used herein incorporates AI protocols to enhance its functionality and capabilities to enables immediate responses and faster decision-making. The imaging unit 105 captures images or records videos of the surroundings by the help of specialized lenses. The captured data is pre-processed and is fed into AI protocols for analysis which utilizes machine learning techniques, such as deep learning neural networks, to extract meaningful information from the visual data. This acquired data is processed by the processor and then an inbuilt microcontroller analysed the processed data to determine shape of the container.
[0026] In accordance to the shape of the container, the microcontroller actuates multiple motorized hinge joint 103 integrated within sad plates 108 for adjusting positioning of the plates 108 in view of properly accommodating the container within the body 101. The motorized hinge joint 103 used herein ranges in four to eight in numbers and comprises of a pair of leaf that is screwed with the surface of the plates 108. The leafs are connected with each other by means of a cylindrical member integrated with a shaft coupled with a DC (Direct Current) motor to provide required movement to the hinge. The rotation of the shaft in clockwise and anti-clockwise aids in opening and closing of the hinge respectively. Hence the microcontroller actuates the hinge that in turn provides movement to the plates 108 for adjusting positioning of the plates 108 in view of properly accommodating the container within the body 101.
[0027] After accommodating the container within the body 101, multiple suction units 201 configured inside the body 101 are actuated by the microcontroller to adhere the container securely inside the body 101. The suction units 201 used herein ranges in ten to fifteen in numbers and comprise of a bowl-shaped cup alike entity having two openings in which one side of the opening has a larger diameter and another side has a smaller diameter wherein the smaller diameter of the cup is attached with a vacuum pump via conduit that is interlinked with the microcontroller as well as the larger diameter of the cup is attached with a mesh arrangement for preventing passage of particles. On actuation, the pump creates a negative pressure which in turn a vacuum is created inside the cup for affixing the container securely inside the body 101.
[0028] Upon successful accommodation as detected by the imaging unit 105, the microcontroller actuates a motorized cutting unit 104 installed on apex portion of the body 101 to cut tip of the accommodated container in view of allowing the user to pour liquid from the container into an auxiliary utensil/ tumbler. The cutting unit 104 comprises of a blade and is powered by a bi-directional direct current motor that is capable of converting direct current into mechanical work by following the principle of Lorentz Law which states that, the current carrying conduction when placed in magnetic or electrical field experiences a force known as Lorentz force. Such that, the motor converts the electrical current derived from an external source into a mechanical torque for providing the required power to the cutting unit 104 to cut tip of the accommodated container.
[0029] While cutting a motorized ball and socket joint 107 is integrated in between the cutting unit 104 and body 101 for providing multi-axis rotational movement to the cutting unit 104 for facilitating in smooth and effective cutting of tip of the accommodated container. The ball and socket joint 107 provides a rotation to the cutting unit 104 to turn at a desired angle. The ball and socket joint 107 is a coupling consisting of a ball joint securely locked within a socket joint 107, where the ball joint is able to move in a 360-dgree rotation within the socket thus, providing the required rotational motion to the cutting unit 104. The ball and socket joint 107 is powered by a DC (direct current) motor that is actuated by the microcontroller thus providing multidirectional movement to the cutting unit 104 for facilitating in smooth and effective cutting of tip of the accommodated container.
[0030] The cutting unit 104 hence by uses the power provided by motor to cut the tip of the accommodated container and allows the user to pour liquid from the container into the auxiliary utensil/ tumbler. Also, an inverted U-shaped handle 102 is configured on side portion of the body 101 for allowing the user to grip the handle 102 while handling the body 101 for pouring liquid from the container.
[0031] Further, a gyroscope sensor integrated on the body 101 that works in sync with the imaging unit 105 for monitoring angle of the body 101 with respect to a ground surface and presence of the user in proximity to the body 101. The gyroscope sensor consists of a spinning rotor that maintains its axis of rotation regardless of the orientation of the bodies. When the angle of the body 101 with respect to a ground surface is occurred, the gyroscope's rotor tends to resist this change due to its angular momentum. The resistance to changes in orientation allows the gyroscope sensor to detect the misbalancing of the body 101 with respect to a ground surface. By measuring the forces applied as the rotor resists the changes in orientation, the gyroscope sensor determines the angle of the body 101 with respect to a ground surface which is sent to the microcontroller. The microcontroller processes the acquired data and detects the angle of the body 101 with respect to a ground surface.
[0032] In accordance to this angle, the microcontroller directs actuation of multiple T-shaped telescopic pushers 202 assembled on bottom portion of the body 101 for extend for lifting the accommodated container in a vertical upward direction. The pushers 202 are powered by a pneumatic unit which includes an air compressor, air cylinder, air valves and piston. The air compressor used herein extract the air from surrounding and increases the pressure of the air by reducing the volume of the air. The air compressor draws atmospheric air and compress to elevated pressure. The compressed air is then sent through a discharge tube into the cylinder across the valve. The compressed air in the cylinder tends to pushes out the piston to extend which extends the pushers 202 assembled on bottom portion of the body 101 for extending for lifting the accommodated container in a vertical upward direction for facilitating proper transfer of liquid present inside the container onto the auxiliary utensil/ tumbler without spillage or wastage.
[0033] Furthermore, an OCR (Optical Character Recognition) module installed on the body 101 that works in synchronization with the imaging unit 105 for detecting expiry date of the container. The Optical Character Recognition (OCR) module functions on a set of components that collectively enable the identification of reading expiry date of the container. This module typically includes a combination of image capture technology and advanced protocols. The image capturing component utilizes sensors and cameras to capture high-resolution images of the text from the container. Subsequently, the OCR protocols processes these images, extracting textual information and identifying individual characters. Character recognition involves pattern recognition and comparison against a predefined database of characters. The OCR module then interprets the recognized characters to form words which is sent to the microcontroller. the microcontroller processed the acquired data and detects the expiry date of the container.
[0034] In case the expiry date is determined to be crossed present date, as fetched via an internet module integrated within the microcontroller, the microcontroller activates a speaker 106 mounted on the body 101 for notifying the user to discard the container to prevent any chances of health issues to the user. The speaker 106 converts the electrical signal into sound wave for producing sound. The part of the speaker 106 that converts electrical signal into mechanical energy is called a voice coil and also consists of a diaphragm. The motor upon getting actuation command from the microcontroller, vibrates the diaphragm that in turn vibrates the air in immediate contact with it according to specific pattern. This specific pattern's vibration produces the pre-fed audio signals notifying the user to discard the container to prevent any chances of health issues to the user.
[0035] Lastly, a battery is associated with the device to supply power to electrically powered components which are employed herein. The battery is comprised of a pair of electrodes named as a cathode and an anode. The battery uses a chemical reaction of oxidation/reduction to do work on charge and produce a voltage between their anode and cathode and thus produces electrical energy that is used to do work in the device.
[0036] The present invention works best in the following manner, where the cuboidal shaped hollow body 101 as disclosed in the invention is possessed with multiple plates 108 developed to be handled by the user. The body 101 is crafted with the opening that allows the user for accommodating the liquid packaged container. Upon activating the device, the artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 105 integrated with the processor captures and processes multiple images of the surroundings of the body 101 to determine shape of the container. Accordingly, the microcontroller actuates multiple motorized hinge joint 103 for adjusting positioning of the plates 108 in view of properly accommodating the container within the body 101. Then, multiple suction units 201 are actuated by the microcontroller to adhere the container securely inside the body 101. Upon successful accommodation, the microcontroller actuates the motorized cutting unit 104 installed on apex portion of the body 101 to cut tip of the accommodated container properly with the help of ball and socket joint 107 in view of allowing the user to pour liquid from the container into the auxiliary utensil/ tumbler. Thereafter, the gyroscope sensor works in sync with the imaging unit 105 and monitors the angle of the body 101 with respect to the ground surface and presence of the user in proximity to the body 101. In accordance to this, the microcontroller directs actuation of multiple T-shaped telescopic pushers 202 to extend for lifting the accommodated container in the vertical upward direction for facilitating proper transfer of liquid present inside the container onto the auxiliary utensil/ tumbler without spillage or wastage with the help of the handle 102. After this, the OCR (Optical Character Recognition) module detects the expiry date of the container. In case the expiry date is determined to be crossed present date, as fetched via the internet module integrated within the microcontroller, the microcontroller activates the speaker 106 for notifying the user to discard the container to prevent any chances of health issues to the user.
