ABSTRACT A fog detection system (100), comprising a light-dependent resistor (LDR) (102) for detecting changes in ambient light levels indicative of fog, an ultrasonic sensor (104) to determine the proximity of objects and distinguish fog from other weather phenomena, a motion sensor (106) to detect movement within the environment, an alert module (108) configured to send alerts to designated users upon detecting fog or a potential hazard and a visual indicator (110) and an audible buzzer configured to alert individuals of fog detection.

[0001] This invention generally relates to a field of detection system and in particular relates to a fog detection system.
BACKGROUND

[0003] Foggy conditions pose a significant risk in transportation, often leading to reduced visibility and increasing the likelihood of accidents on roads, highways, and in aviation. Traditional methods for detecting fog typically involve relying on visual cues or reports from weather stations, which may not provide timely a , Claims:1. A fog detection system (100), comprising:
a light-dependent resistor (LDR) (102) for detecting changes in ambient light levels indicative of fog;
an ultrasonic sensor (104) to determine the proximity of objects and distinguish fog from other weather phenomena;
a motion sensor (106) to detect movement within the environment;
an alert module (108) configured to send alerts to designated users upon detecting fog or a potential hazard; and
a visual indicator (110) and an audible buzzer configured to alert individuals of fog detection.

2. The fog detection system (100) as claimed in claim 1, further comprises an artificial intelligence (AI) based processor to analyse sensor data for improved fog detection accuracy by reducing false alarms and adapting to various environmental conditions.
