Abstract

ABSTRACT A firefighting robotic system (100) comprising an infrared (IR) sensor (102) to detect the presence of a fire by sensing heat and generate an alert signal in response, a microcontroller to receive the alert signal from the IR sensor, process sensor data, and activate specific fire suppression actions, a robotic body (104) coupled to the IR sensor, comprising a servo motor coupled to a water pump and operable to adjust the angle of the water output, allowing directed water spraying over a designated area and an ultrasonic sensor configured to monitor water levels within reservoir of the robotic body and generate a low-water-level alert. The system (100) further comprising a communication module (106) for remote communication, enabling the robotic body to be controlled and monitored from a mobile device and a motor driver (108) to facilitate the movement of the robotic body to navigate to the location of the fire.

Specification

Description:FIELD OF THE DISCLOSURE
[0001] This invention generally relates to autonomous robotic systems and, in particular, relates to an IoT-based fire-fighting robot capable of detecting, extinguishing fires, and monitoring resources in real-time.
BACKGROUND

[0002] The subject matter discussed in the background section should not be assumed to be prior art merely as a result of its mention in the background section. Similarly, a problem mentioned in the background section or associated with the subject matter of the background section should not be assumed to have been previously recognized in the prior art. The subject matter in the background section merely represents different approaches, which in and of themselves may also correspond to implementations of the claimed technology.
[0003] Traditional fire-fighting solutions often require manual operation, which poses significant risks to human life. Furthermore, these methods typically lack automation and do not leverage recent advancements in sensor technology , Claims:1. A firefighting robotic system (100) comprising:
an infrared (IR) sensor (102) configured to detect the presence of a fire by sensing heat and generate an alert signal in response;
a microcontroller configured to receive the alert signal from the IR sensor, process sensor data, and activate specific fire suppression actions;
a robotic body (104) coupled to the IR sensor, comprising:
a servo motor coupled to a water pump and operable to adjust the angle of the water output, allowing directed water spraying over a designated area; and
an ultrasonic sensor configured to monitor water levels within reservoir of the robotic body and generate a low-water-level alert;
a communication module (106) for remote communication, enabling the robotic body to be controlled and monitored from a mobile device and
a motor driver (108) configured to facilitate the movement of the robotic body to navigate to the location of the fire.

2. The firefighting robotic system (100) as claimed in claim 1, further comprising a relay mo
