Specification

Description:
FIELD OF THE DISCLOSURE
[0001] This invention generally relates to a field of energy management systems and in particular relates to a system for controlling classroom electrical appliances using computer vision to optimize power consumption.
BACKGROUND

[0002] The subject matter discussed in the background section should not be assumed to be prior art merely as a result of its mention in the background section. Similarly, a problem mentioned in the background section or associated with the subject matter of the background section should not be assumed to have been previously recognized in the prior art. The subject matter in the background section merely represents different approaches, which in and of themselves may also correspond to implementations of the claimed technology.
[0003] Conventional energy management systems in educational institutions typically rely on manual control or basic automated timers to manage the operation of classroom electrical appliances. These methods are often inefficient, , Claims:1. An energy management system (100) for controlling classroom electrical appliances using computer vision, the system (100) comprising:
a plurality of cameras configured to monitor classroom occupancy and activities;
a processor communicatively coupled with the cameras, wherein the processor is configured to:
receive the monitored data from the cameras;
analyze the data to determine occupancy and activity patterns;
control electrical appliances based on the analysis to optimize energy usage.

2. The energy management system (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the processor is further configured to:
transmit control signals to adjust the operation of the electrical appliances when the classroom is unoccupied.

3. The energy management system (100) as claimed in claim 1, further comprising:
a communication module configured to establish a wireless connection between the processor and the electrical appliances.
