FIELD OF INVENTION
The present invention relates to the field of commercial kitchen equipment, and more
particularly relates to electric oil fryer devices designed for automated and efficient
frying of food items in restaurant settings.
10 DESCRIPTION OF THE RELATED ART
Present methods require the use of a separate ladle with a filter to remove fried food
from heated oil, which can be labor-intensive and time-consuming, especially in busy
restaurant settings. Manually dipping a ladle into hot oil poses a risk of burns and other
15 injuries to kitchen staff. The manual process can lead to variations in frying times and
results, as it relies on the individual's judgment and technique. Traditional methods do
Q) not efficiently drain excess oil from the fried food, leading to greasier dishes and
potential wastage of oil. Separate tools and equipment for frying and removing food
can clutter the kitchen workspace, leading to inefficiencies in the cooking process.
The present invention is an advancement in commercial kitchen equipment,
particularly for restaurants that serve fried foods. By integrating an automated sieve
and oil filter system within the electric oil fryer device, the invention eliminates the need
for manual intervention during the frying process. The motorized vertical sliding
mechanism, driven by DC motors and a screw rod assembly, ensures precise and
25 consistent control over the raising and lowering of the sieve. This automation
30
enhances efficiency and improves safety by reducing the risk of burns and other
injuries associated with handling hot oil. ·
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The present invention is an electric oil fryer device designed for efficient and
automated frying in restaurant settings. The device features a metal cabin with a base
stand and a lid, housing an oil sump for heating cooking oil using electric heaters.
Integral to the device is a sieve and oil filter positioned above the oil sump, which is
equipped with a vertical sliding mechanism driven by a motorized system. This
mechanism includes a screw rod connected to DC motors and guiding hubs at the four
corners of the sieve, allowing for automated raising and lowering of the filter. When
5 the frying process is complete, the DC motors activate the screw rod, lifting the sieve
and oil filter out of the oil sump. This action drains excess oil back into the sump,
leaving only the fried food in the filter, ready to be removed without the need for a
separate ladle. The device aims to ease the frying process, reducing manual effort
and enhancing efficiency in commercial kitchens.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION WITH REFERENCE DRAWING
1. METAL CABIN
The main housing or body of the device, made of stainless steel material, which
contains and protects the internal components.
2. BASE STAND
The bottom support structure of the device that provides stability and elevation from
the countertop or floor.
3. LID
A hinged cover at the top of the metal cabin that allows access to the internal
components, such as the oil sump and sieve, and helps contain heat and splatter
during frying.
4. SIEVE AND OIL FILTER
A perforated and mesh container integrated within the device that holds the food
during frying and allows oil to drain out as the food is lifted out of the oil sump.
10 5. OIL SUMP
The reservoir within the metal cabin that holds the cooking oil and houses the electric
heating elements for heating the oil.
6. DC MOTOR
A direct current motor that powers the vertical sliding mechanism of the sieve and oil
filter, providing controlled raising and lowering actions.
7. SCREWROD
A threaded rod connected to the DC motor that translates the motor's rotational motion
into linear motion, facilitating the raising and lowering of the sieve and oil filter.
8. GUIDING HUBS
Components attached to the four comers of the sieve and oil filter that connect to the
screw rod, guiding the sieve's vertical movement and ensuring stability during
operation.
9. HEATER CONTROLS
The interface or control panel on the device that allows users to adjust the temperature
and other settings of the electric heating elements within the oil sump.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The present invention is an electric oil fryer device designed to automate and enhance
the frying process in restaurant settings
The device comprises a metal cabin (1) that houses and protects the internal
components, supported by a base stand (2) for stability and elevation.
The top of the metal cabin (1) features a lid (3) that provides access to the interior and
helps contain heat and splatter during frying.
Within the metal cabin (1), an oil sump (5) is the reservoir for cooking oil and is
·equipped with electric heating elements controlled via heater controls (9) located on
the device.
Above the oil sump (5), a sieve and oil filter (4) is integrated into the device.
10 This sieve (4) is designed with a vertical sliding mechanism to automate the raising
and lowering of food items into and out of the hot oil.
The vertical sliding mechanism consists of a screw rod (7) connected to DC motors
(6) that drive the rotary action.
15 The sieve and oil filter (4) is fitted with guiding hubs (8) at its four corners, which are
fastened to the screw rod (7).
When the DC motors (6) are activated, they rotate the screw rod (7), causing the
guiding hubs (8) and the attached sieve and oil filter (4) to move vertically.
This action allows the sieve (4) to be lowered into the oil sump (5) for frying and raised
20 out of the oil sump (5) once the food is cooked.
C. As the sieve (4) is lifted, excess oil drains back into the sump (5), leaving the fried food
ready to be removed without the need for a separate ladle .
METHOD OF PERFORMING THE INVENTION:
To perform frying using the electric oil fryer device with an integral raising sieve and
oil filter, it begins by filling the oil sump with cooking oil and setting the desired
temperature using the heater controls.
While the oil heats, preparing the raw food items for frying.
Once the oil reaches the set temperature, loading the food into the sieve and oil filter,
which starts in the raised position .
Activating the DC motors to lower the sieve into the hot oil, allowing the food to fry for
the required duration.
After frying, activating the DC motors again to raise the sieve, which drains excess oil
back into the sump as it lifts.
Once fully raised, carefully removing the fried food from the sieve.
Repeating this process for additional batches of food.
5 After completing the frying process, allowing the oil to cool, cleaning the device, and
power it off.
10
ADVANTAGES
~ By automating the raising and lowering of the sieve, the invention minimizes
manual handling of hot oil, reducing the risk of burns and other injuries.
~ The automated process streamlines workflow, allowing for faster and more .
consistent frying, which is crucial in busy restaurant settings.
15 ~ The integrated sieve and oil filter system effectively drains excess oil back into ·
the sump, resulting in less greasy food and reduced oil wastage.
