Description:FIELD OF DISCLOSURE
[0001] The present disclosure generally relates to educational technology systems and methods that enhance learning through interactive digital platforms, more specifically, relates to an augmented reality-based educational gaming system and the method that incorporates narrative-driven gameplay with coding challenges and aptitude tasks.
BACKGROUND OF THE DISCLOSURE
[0002] Conventional educational platforms and methods have demonstrated limitations in maintaining student interest, particularly in technical subjects such as coding, problem-solving, and logical reasoning. These traditional systems and methods often passively present educational material, lacking the interactive and immersive qualities needed to captivate students and sustain their attention.
[0003] Moreover, while gamification has been increasingly adopted to improve user engagement in educational contexts, existing solutions are often insufficient in providing a seamless integration of educational challenges with compelling game mechanics. In particular, most educational platforms and its working method fail to incorporate augmented reality (AR) in a meaningful way, limiting the potential for interactive and immersive learning experiences.
[0004] Prior art in educational platforms often fails to provide an engaging and interactive environment. Many conventional systems and their working methods rely on static content, such as text-based tutorials, quizzes, and videos, which do not actively involve the student in the learning process. While some platforms introduce basic gamification techniques, such as point scoring or badges, these mechanisms are insufficient to maintain prolonged student interest or motivation.
[0005] Existing platforms and their working method generally lack the incorporation of dynamic, narrative-driven content. Most platforms present challenges or educational tasks in isolation, disconnected from a broader storyline that could otherwise motivate and immerse the user. This absence of a coherent, evolving narrative reduces the user's engagement with the educational material and does not capitalize on the power of storytelling to make learning enjoyable and relevant.
[0006] In addition, another concern is the usage of augmented reality (AR). It has demonstrated immense potential for enhancing interactive and immersive learning, but its implementation in existing educational platforms and methods remains limited. Prior systems and methods typically employ AR for superficial overlays, such as displaying static images or simple visual aids. These uses do not fully leverage AR's capacity to create interactive, real-world scenarios that engage the student in solving complex, multi-step educational tasks.
[0007] A major drawback of prior art systems and methods is the absence of adaptive learning mechanisms that tailor educational content to individual student performance. Most systems and their working methods in the prior art deliver educational challenges at a fixed difficulty level, regardless of the learner's progress or ability. This static approach leads to user frustration-either by presenting overly simple tasks that fail to challenge advanced users or by overwhelming less proficient students with difficult tasks beyond their skill level.
[0008] Further, in the existing systems and methods, there is often a clear distinction between the "learning" and "gaming" components of the platform, which diminishes the educational effectiveness of the system. Educational platforms that treat gamification as a superficial add-on, rather than integrating it into the core of the learning experience, fail to create an immersive environment. This separation between gameplay and education reduces the student's ability to apply learned concepts in real-time, within the context of the game.
[0009] Lastly, the reward mechanisms in existing educational platforms and methods are often insufficient to incentivize continued user engagement. Many systems and their working methods use generic, one-dimensional reward structures, such as points or badges, which quickly lose their appeal. The prior art has failed to implement dynamic and personalized rewards that adapt to the user's progress and offer meaningful incentives, such as unlocking new content, personalized feedback, or enhanced features within the game.
[0010] Given these limitations, there is a need for an educational gaming system and working method based on narratives and coding. This system and its working method would provide an engaging and interactive environment, encouraging sustained student interest and fostering a deeper understanding of coding and problem-solving skills. The present invention addresses these shortcomings by offering a unified platform that combines educational content with immersive gameplay, AR integration, and personalized, adaptive learning experiences.
[0011] Thus, in light of the above-stated discussion, there exists a need for an educational gaming system and method based on narratives and coding.
SUMMARY OF THE DISCLOSURE
[0012] The following is a summary description of illustrative embodiments of the invention. It is provided as a preface to assist those skilled in the art to more rapidly assimilate the detailed design discussion which ensues and is not intended in any way to limit the scope of the claims which are appended hereto in order to particularly point out the invention.
[0013] According to illustrative embodiments, the present disclosure focuses on an educational gaming system based on narratives and coding which overcomes the above-mentioned disadvantages or provides the users with a useful or commercial choice.
[0014] The primary objective of the present disclosure is to improve student engagement in learning by integrating immersive narrative-driven gameplay with educational content. By combining storytelling with coding challenges and augmented reality (AR), the system and the method aim to make learning more interactive, enjoyable, and motivating for students.
[0015] Another objective of the present disclosure is that the system and the method are designed to strengthen students' problem-solving abilities and coding skills. Through interactive challenges embedded within the game, students can practice logical reasoning and technical skills in a fun and engaging environment.
[0016] Another objective of the present disclosure is to utilize AR technology to create an interactive and immersive learning environment. By overlaying virtual objects and challenges onto real-world environments, the system encourages hands-on learning and provides a dynamic way for students to engage with educational content.
[0017] Another objective of the present disclosure is to create a seamless integration of educational content and entertainment. By embedding educational challenges within the narrative and gameplay, the system and the method blur the lines between learning and play, ensuring that students can apply their knowledge in real-time, within the context of the game.
[0018] Yet another objective of the present disclosure is that the system and the method's goal is to motivate and incentivize students by offering a dynamic and personalized reward system. As students complete coding challenges and progress through the game, they earn virtual rewards such as gems, or unlocking new levels, which serve as positive reinforcement and encourage continued learning and engagement.
[0019] In light of the above, in one aspect of the present disclosure, an educational gaming system based on narratives and coding is disclosed herein.
